Nobody has mentioned MGMT's Congratulations in 3 pages of this thread...how did people feel about that one? I liked it."FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam09250

Thought it was pretty bad. Don't think it would end up in my top 500 of the year."So, you must really love Led Zeppelin. That’s the oldest shirt I’ve ever seen on someone who wasn’t a bum."
"Hey, if God didn’t want me to wear it so much, he wouldn’t have made them rock so hard."0 -

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all0 -

I know this is stupid but after them apologizing for the first single off they new album b/c people didn't like it, I had no interest in buying it. I figured if they didn't stand behind their music why should I.0 -

lots of love for High Violet and that is my pick as well, especially after seeing them twice thus far this year at Radio City and Terminal 5.....Gaslight Anthem's American Slang is a great alternative to High Violet with it's fun and simple straight forward approach...rock that shit going down the Jersey shore..'I want to hurry home to you
put on a slow, dumb show for you
and crack you up
so you can put a blue ribbon on my brain
god I'm very, very frightening
and I'll overdo it'0 -
Top Two are American Slang (Gaslight Anthem) and Odd Blood (Yeasayer). It's unfortunate that Yeasayer came out so early this year because I think a lot of people are foregtting how phenomenal of an album that is.
I also have Brothers (Black Keys) and The Suburbs (Arcade Fire) but need to listen to them more and really absorb them before putting them in my top five.
Grace Potter and the Noctornals gets my honorable mention. She's smokin0 -
Arcade Fire- The Suburbs
Dead Weather- Sea Of Cowards
The National- High Violet"He who hears music, feels his solitude peopled at once" R. Browning0 -
Portugal. The Man - American Ghetto and Spoon - Transference are my faves so far I think.
