I think it may be a custom Modulus bass, Bob Weir played a lot of custom Modulus guitars also back then.

I always wondered what "jelly" meant and apparently its slang for female genitals
This time of year was always about planning which summer shows to hit. Sure do miss those giant summer parties with the GD (such as Oxford Me in 1988)

i'm gonna miss sirius radio next month, especially for the daily dose of "today in GD history"...but i ain't paying $90 for 6months :evil:

friday's show was deadicated to "in the dark". 25th year anniversary of it's release.
i still remember buying the cassette when it went on sale
little did i know then the explosion that would happen soon after this release
it was never the same again, and that ain't all bad

i was at the furthur show last night and they closed with touch of grey. im assuming because of the release date. who knows. was a pretty good show. hot as balls out. the philly setlist from tonight looked nice.

I remember laughing so hard I got the hiccups. Of course, that might have had something to do with the big sticky buds, but we were a pair of odd ducks anyway, and we cracked each other up a lot.

Jerry, Phil Mickey, and Bill all came to Wally Heider’s many nights when I was recording “If I Could Only Remember My Name.” So much fun, so MUCH music…

What did we lose? One of the best minds in music: articulate, always thinking fresh, original thoughts. Jerry didn’t tell you what he thought you wanted to hear, he told you what he thought.

Jerry played his own way, too, completely unlike any other musician. As different as Hendrix was, in another direction.

Somehow, I wound up being a closer friend to Phil. Jerry wound up being kind of hard to reach to, in the later times. As much as I miss him, I know that Phil and the others miss him more. I listen to Kids and Dogs, or The Wall Song, and… I miss him.
