I am a die hard Giants fan who was thinking that the Saints would represent the NFC in this year's Super Bowl before the scandal broke. I know its way too early (before draft) and this may be a longshot but I am starting to think Chicago will be my preseason pick.

I do believe if the Bears stay healthy, they should easily contend. Not sure about a number 1 preseason pick though. While they were 7-3, pre-injury and with a bonehead offensive coordinator last year, and have made some nice moves in the offseason...the NFC North is going to be a tough division next year...with the exception of the Vikings of course.
My NFC top 10 preseason power rankings:
1) Packers
2) 49ers
3) Falcons
4) Bears
5) Giants
6) Lions
7) Eagles
8) Saints
9) Cowboys
10) Seahawks

Bears with 3 monday night games, 1 sunday night game and 1 thursday night game
Shea McClellin from Boise State. Didn't see this one coming. I don't know what to think about this yet.
Don't know too much about him, but he seems like an athletic, scrappy kinda guy. Flexible in that he can play DE, drop back to LB and has the speed to get to the edge. Plays the nickle too! I kinda like it...a real change of pace from their current DL build. I think he's going to be a good compliment to their line and should take some pressure off of Peppers. The Bears had miserable pressure against the pass last year....I think this kid will change that!
You're Crazy. Not only is McClellin a good pick, but Riley Rieff would have been better than DeCastro. I'm a Hawkeye...and Rieff is a beast!! Sucks that he went to Detroit!

Well from what I've been reading, this guy was apparently more suited for a 3-4 defense to play a hybrid DE/OLB. But apparently the Bears love this guy and think he can play DE. I'll give Emery the benfit of the doubt for now.
how was the score party? i wish i couldve gone but i wasnt in town.
It was a pretty great time actually - got to meet Hub, Grobber, Matt Abbatacola, and Gary from Evanston Had WAY too many drinks and the food was awesome, so definitely worth the money. The roasts were pretty good, but no Mike North appearance. Apparently he wanted $8K just to show up!! The best part was going over to Real Time next door for Grobber's on-air remote...of course we were hammered so we just kept screaming all night...oops!

I guess if the Bears want to continue their average at best and extremely outdated defense, this kid probably won't have a shot. Too small for DE and too big/slow for LB...after all , the Bears live or die from the LB play.
None of us know the future, but it seems the Bears org is taking a fresh look at not only the offense and the coaching staff...but the defense too.
If they stick to their Tampa 2 coverage, a little pass rush from the end or the gap might just be what the bears need.

i think the 49ers slip next year. too many things went right this year for them.
I 'd also move up the saints. even without payton, they'll still have a potent offense.
football is such a crap shoot tho
Yeah, you're probably right about the Saints. Other than Atlanta, their division is pretty weak.
opponents arent bad but the schedule SUCKS
he was busy right up until that first lost....than not a peep for 5 months.

I trust Hub....
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
Met Hub at the Score party a few weeks ago....that man likes to drink!
McClellin would have been better suited with the Pack and the 3-4, but I still think it was a solid pickup for the Bears. You bastards!
