Can you turn the caddy feature completely off? I played the demo and wasn't very happy with the "training wheels" they applied to the game.
  • I played Bulletstorm and Crysis 2 at a friends house last night. Both a lot of fun.

But i'm old school, i'm playing Doom 2 at the min 8-)

Looking forward to playing red dead redemption. Right now I've been playing MLB the show and I'm hooked.

Madden should be coming out soon

I know this is refferring to the 2010 version...but do you know if you can create your own franchise and/or players in the 2011 version?...I really want to get it but only if I can create my own team.
Is it so wrong to think that love can keep us safe?

For those of you that like puzzle / platformers, The Adventures of Shuggy is a very solid buy at $10 on xbox arcade. You basically play as a vampire that needs to rid his castle of ghosts by solving puzzles. There are hundreds of rooms to clear and the mechanics keep it fresh. It's a little difficult, but not super frustrating.

I rented LA Noir from Redbox the other day.

    Fun game!

I didn't even realize Redbox had videogames until I was walking by one the other day. It's like $2/day! That's pretty sweet!

    That is pretty good.
  • NCAA College Football 12 will be out in a few weeks. If we can get enough people for the PS3 will have to start a AET online dynasty.

    big fall coming up.

battlefield 3, gears of war 3, modern warfare 3.

most excited about battlefield & gears of war.

disappointing to hear that modern warfare won't update their engines. might pass on it, especially with the whole franchise going pretty stale in my opinon.

also, been very faithful to the FIFA franchise, and '11 was the first time i passed purchasing the new year's edition in like 10 years.

that being said, super psyched for FIFA 12.

    I have BF3 and Skyrim pre-ordered.
I was going to wait on Forza 4 for the platinum hits that inevitably will follow (with all the DLC) but they announced the limited edition yesterday and easily wasted my resolve. Curses!

I put Black Ops in for the first time since Xmas this weekend .... it took me about 30 minutes to realize why it had been collecting dust. :( Stale is a very good term to describe the series, but when Activision keeps chucking them out an annual basis and gamers keep giving them billions of dollars, what motivation do they have to change?

By the way, whatever became of Activision's Guitar Hero series ..... :ugeek:

Speaking of Skyrim, I finally beat Oblivion this last weekend! I got my first achievement in March of 2006 so just over five years to complete.

I enjoyed every minute of the 200+ hours I invested in it too (well, except the 12 hours I spent searching for Jauffre because I told him to wait somewhere in 2007 and two years later when I decided to finish the main quest line, I couldn't find the fucking bastard!)
