    Another reason you have to come to Connecticut is the UConn football team is playing in the Fiesta Bowl (although MANY people are bitching about it). This is huge for the team, the entire school, and the state. You already know about our women's basketball team dominating and our men's basketball team is one of the top programs in college basketball, our football team is on the rise. Me being one of the many thousands of students at UConn, this is great for the school. We're happy about the football team being on one of college football's biggest stages.

    I can give you a tour of the Storrs campus if you want. Maybe the band can play Gampel some time.

    Saw them a few times myself prior to their last album coming out, and I thought they were good live...that being said, they play the same set list every night, so, they basically only play what they know they can play. I do give credit to Nathan tho...he's probably got more talent than the rest of the band put together.

    They had a thing on CNN the other night about John Lennons final days. It was called Losing Lennon and it was a very detailed show about the days leading up to Lennon's death, Mark David Chapman's thought's in his own words from when he confessed to police. Very good piece of journalism. I wasn't near the computer when I was watching it but being Wednesday is 30 years since it happened I'm sure it will be on again.

    You know I watched it. It was really good. I've been on a Lennon kick the last few days, listening to his discography that I have on shuffle, and listening to The Beatles. I was listening to my dad's tapes he taped the night of his death, which they had his final interview, and a John Lennon tribute of December 14, 1980. Tapes are in great shape 30 years later.

    Five years ago tonight, U2 (I know some of you don't like them) played at the Civic Center and Bono said the show was for John Lennon. Going to listen to the boot of that show tonight.

    I was a huge fan early on, back when they first started and BCN was playing their stuff from "Boy." Blew me away. Less of a fan as time went on and they seemed to me to morph into something bombastic and a bit too righteous for me. Mostly Bono. Eddie's right, he is a hardworking guy, but I haven't been taken by their more recent stuff.
