Another Crowes show would be fine by me! 8-)

Same here. I need them back. Rich's stuff is awesome, but I find CRB pretty boring. I'm all for a mindless journey, so long as there's a destination.

I'm right there with you. CRB is cool, but it's really not my cup of tea. A little too jam-bandish for me. When my wife and I went and saw the SLC show we left after the first set. Not because it was a poor performance, in fact it was anything but that, but just because we both realized that it really wasn't our thing.

Bring on some more Black Crowes. Another record would be a real treat. I still am loving their last one, three years later.

 ......man would some live TBC be sweet. I talked to Luther earlier this year before a gig and told him how much I enjoyed the sound he brought and new life he injected into the Crowes. He plaintively responded, "It wasn't enough to save them." Hopefully the brothers Robinson have made amends!

I hope the rumours are true, but also that they go for someone other than Luther. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see Neal Casal take the other guitar spot, since Chris Robinson seems to enjoy having him in the CRB. Also, I think the tours with the Crowes didn't help the Allstars much, so him being available may mean they tour more and make another album. Feels like an age since Keys To The Kingdom.

I have a dumb question, but hoping someone can shed some light on it. Did the Black Crowes go on hiatus because Rich and Chris don't get along? Is there any specific reason, why they don't get along if so?

I wouldn't mind seing Neil play with them, met him when Chris Came with Brotherhood. Got a pic with Neil, ran into Chris breifly, shook his hand, and said hello. He was cordial, but seems really reserved. Tried to meet him backstage at a festival with the Crowes a few years back, and those guys stayed as close to the bus as possible, didn't want to have anything to do with anybody.

Just curious on the Robinson brother situation, thanks.

Damnit. Nothing doable on that schedule for me.

Looks like I'm holding out for another SLC date, or something close by.

Seeing that they came to SLC twice within a year keeps me hopeful.

At 10:13 local time... trust the Crowes to be awkward.

I'm not convinced by the prospect of Jackie Greene, so the one show will do me. Hopefully he'll play rhythm and let Rich take the leads. Luther eventually was a good fit, but I think a change was always likely. Luther should get back on the road with the Allstars and show the world how great they are once more.

If you have a record store that specializes in records ask them if they can order you a copy. $80 - $100 seems a bit high. My wife got me an LP of the album and I wouldn't think it would cost more than $30.

I knew this was coming but figured it might be another year or so away.

I will actually miss the CRB because I feel like I have been more into them than the Crowes lately.

Don't know what to think about Jackie Greene because I am unfamiliar with him but I just wish they would stop with the revolving door at lead guitar. Is he going to be able to pull off those solos? Luther could do it and give his own style to it. I don't know about this guy. I guess we'll see. I just don't know enough about him.

Of course I'll be out of town when they come to Dallas but I am definitely hitting Austin. Probably will go to Atlanta too since I am supposed to be there that week anyway.

I don't know much about him either, but alot of the people that weren't fans of Luther are excited.

Luther was a joy to watch and hear play, but there were times when I thought his tone was a little too smooth to pull off some of the classics. It never took anything away from the tunes for me, but I am excited to hear somebody with a bridge pickup again and the prospect of Rich taking more leads.

I don't mind the revolving door, but it is a shame that they seemed to just be getting really comfortable with Luther before the hiatus.

Never could get into CRB too much. Preferred his stuff from the first hiatus quite a bit more. Brotherhood just seemed like alot mindless jamming to me. I prefer bands that can actually take that improvisational style somewhere, so I'm definitely glad the Crowes are back.

Jackie is VERY talented, on the banjo, piano, harmonica, guitar, I think he'll do just fine!
