Funny this thread is on a Pearl Jam forum because I think Pearl Jam have dealt with fame and fortune better than most. They never fed the monster and so the monster never turned on the hand that fed it.
not so funny really. i don't think Eddie would mind MJ being discussed.

maybe 'the monster' lost interest in them early on. maybe if there werent other destructive and more 'alluring' targets around for the media it wouldve been different.

I'm kind of conflicted on this, I mean, the propophol is nuts, but MJ was getting all different types of drugs from numerous doctors
how is this one man to blame, and where the fuck was his family
oh I know, at the bank . . .
He is to blame because he CHOSE to administer a potentially lethal drug in a completely inappropriate setting with none of the precautionary measures in place and no back up plan if something went wrong. Furthermore, when something did go wrong, he chose to wait 25 minutes before he called emergency services for help. He chose to take these risks in return for a huge salary, which he would not have gotten had he not agreed to administer the propofol.
Jackson's previous drug use and the Dr's who fueled his alleged habits are not relevant because THEY did not administer the drug that ultimately killed him.
In terms of his family, he alienated them a long time ago so I don;t think they can really be blamed.

but Dr. C. Murray will only get about 6 months to a year in prison. At least he will lose his license to
practice.
Very sad - MJ needed some major help - other than his music, his life was a mess.... :(
