    The first time I saw PJ live, it was during EF, specifically during Mike's solo, that my life changed forever.

    I always love it when they play this song. Count me in! :D

    So I'm watching CNN just now, and the pre-commercial break teaser is talking about cell phone 'spectrum'. There's an over-the-shoulder shot of someone dialing in a song on their phone, and you guessed it, they punch Ten, then Even Flow.

    I think the moment my jaw dropped open when I saw PJ the first time I didn't actually come around to my senses until Even Flow started 6 or 7 songs in and POW!! I'm finally watching Pearl Jam and they're not just in my TV... :D

    Some people around here think they play it in 99% of the shows out of some kind of obligation. I think they play it because they still love it 20+ years on. I mean if they didn't they would keep it as short as possible, right?
    Like a book among the many on a shelf...

    Exactly! They love this song after so many years and performances...and I say thank you!!! Could not agree more with your first PJ experience, as mine came during the mid-song jam when Eddie walked to the back of the stage, grabbed a smoke, and let the band enjoy an extended jam. When he came back to the front, he raised his hands in appreciation to the rest of the band...classic jam and classic appreciation paid to the rest of the band.

    Please play Even Flow at EVERY show from now until the end of time!!!
