I expected him to know it was a lighthearted comment and he didn't have to get all pissed off. I meant his "I don't give a shit about anyone else's opinions" attitude...which could mean tough guy in a sense...which is why I used it, but maybe I could have been more clear.

I'm just tired of his smarmy, personal attacks against me.

Probably only half Canadians would even address themselves as someone on the political spectrum, since thats about how many who usually vote. :roll:

Read it in context and with the smiley...I was joking with him. I even said I was.

Anyhow, I also said smarmy personal attacks since he used that same phrase several times in different threads. I think he must have watched Sesame Street and it was the word of the day or something.

Bottom line, I was joking with him the entire time and he didn't get it, despite my specific mention of it. Anyhow, he was just in a bad mood and got himself a ban I think anyhow so it doesn't matter. I should really know better than to joke with him though, so that's on me. But it tough to stop.

a smiley is like saying "with all due respect...." and acting like that entitles you to say whatever you want.

I wasn't getting mad at him at all...just wanted him to lighten up. I personally do like his attitude on the board despite our disagreements, just was having some fun and he took it way too seriously.

Dude, you really don't get it either...I was still fuckin around with the "smarmy"...he used it 2 times that day to different people. And the sesame street thing is a personal attack???? Nope, just have a 2 year old and get a letter and number of the day a lot, so when someone uses something a bunch or something different a few times even, it makes me think about that.
