Is anyone from the Chicagoland area interested in getting a print framed? If we each get one done, we can split shipping costs and save some cash.
I am still looking for someone form the Chicagoland area who would be willing to split the cost of shipping.
If people keep signing up for this deal, we should be able to get prints framed for well under $200 each and only need to pay a little more than $20 each for packing and shipping. This is much cheaper (and likely much better quality) than anything we could find near Chicago.

I hope to have one in the mail by tomorrow, I'll send another note when its shipped to confirm. I'm still waiting on the second print I'd like framed (STL 2010), if possible I'd like to wait until the 10c puts on a sale and get that one out to you. If needed I'd of course pay for shipping separately on that one, and can put some sort of down payment on it if you're interested to take advantage of this deal.

Since there's so many of them, getting permission from everyone may be an issue, but frankly I think it would be safe to say everyone is ok with their framing being photographed - right? Luckily, there's a lot of redundant posters I'm framing too.
Suffice it to say I will be taking TONS of photos. I'm glad there's no "rolls of film" anymore, and it's all unlimited with digital cameras now.

i wonder what the HOFFFFF is up to these days how fucked up would it be if he closed up shop and ran with everyones posters...... (im a sick man)
...that's TOTALLY what I did. I sold them all and earned much less than the framing, but it was labor-less to do so.
Actually, I've been working like crazy to keep everything done schedule. This week I've been inventory-ing 160 mats, 1,200 feet of various moulding, 100 sheets of museum foamboard, and lots of boxes of glass, cutting all of the mats and foamboard. ...and helping customers when they walk-in, call and email too.
Over the next couple of weeks I'll be cutting and v-nailing the 1,200 feet of moulding, cutting the glass for all the pieces, fit all the posters into the matting and framing and wire 'em up... but I'm often stopping on the board to give my feet a 5 minute rest here and there.
...and I got your PM joe. I'll get you an estimate for that "unusual" poster probably next week or so.

...that's TOTALLY what I did. I sold them all and earned much less than the framing, but it was labor-less to do so.
Actually, I've been working like crazy to keep everything done schedule. This week I've been inventory-ing 160 mats, 1,200 feet of various moulding, 100 sheets of museum foamboard, and lots of boxes of glass, cutting all of the mats and foamboard. ...and helping customers when they walk-in, call and email too.
Over the next couple of weeks I'll be cutting and v-nailing the 1,200 feet of moulding, cutting the glass for all the pieces, fit all the posters into the matting and framing and wire 'em up... but I'm often stopping on the board to give my feet a 5 minute rest here and there.
...and I got your PM joe. I'll get you an estimate for that "unusual" poster probably next week or so.
