I was just going over the cost of materials and everything plus eating $25 of the cost of packaging per pair for a lot of people, and CC fees, etc... at $159 we hit a wall. If we got to like 100+ we might get to another drop, but it wouldn't be significantly less. Good try though! :P

If need be you can wait until July 1st to ship, but it would be SO helpful for those who can ship early to do so (and post here when shipped).

There's a PDF form at the bottom of the OP to be printed and included with your shipment.

Please read the whole OP which answers questions about shipping, packaging, size restrictions, glass-upgrades (for those who want it), etc.


...and I'm planning on having two shipments of frames out. End of July, and middle of August. If you don't mind your framing shipping out middle of August, it would certainly help. This has been much more successful than I anticipated! So, you can write on your form somewhere "Ship in August" or "Ship in July", whichever your preference is.

I want in! I want my EV rocket one done like the example you showed. Do you have a sample of the EV batman one as well? I want them to maybe match at least in size and matting style so they can hang together. So put me down for 2, maybe even 3 if you can convince me to get EV black and blue standing poster done. :shock:

I love my EV posters! How did you frame the rocket one without dipping into the margin? I heard that was the biggest problem.

Also do I get a receipt of any kind? How will I ship you the posters without the fear of never seeing them again? :shock: :shock: :shock:

I can frame the EV Rocket like the photo with blue and red. Just on your order form write "frame as shown in photo on your OP".

The EV Batman I have a nice matting combination for. Black mat on top and neon orange second mat to go with those colors in the poster. I don't have a closeup photo of it, but I framed it with this matting for my personal collection (though in a different frame, since the color-stripes weren't available then). This will give you an idea, but it would have a color-striped frame of your choice.



As far as your third EV poster, I'm sure I can frame it beautifully! I just need to see it in person to look at the available matting colors to see how they look with the actual poster colors. Choosing matting based on the colors on the computer monitor is tough, since the monitor can be way off on color. Just let me know if you'd like it to be 3.

As far as the EV Rocket, matting does need to cover a little bit of the poster to hold the paper in place, however it would not cover the target. There's enough room since I only need to cover 1/8" at the minimum. The exhaust at the bottom of the rocket was printed all the way off the paper, so we do cover a little bit of that, but as you see from the photo in the OP, that's ok (and it's necessary. )

As far as size goes, matting will be 2.5" all around the poster size, then the frame is cut around the matting size. If the posters are the same size, then the frames will be the same size. If the posters are different sizes, then the frames will be too. Look at the above posters in my personal collection, as well as the below photo. Typically, as long as the tops of the frames are at the same height, then they look fine if the bottoms are different. It's when the tops are all different heights that there tend to be issues.

As far as matching in matting style, these 2 (or 3) posters have dramatically different colors. If you'd like, you can tell me which matting you'd like on all of them that would be the same. But I'd recommend framing and matting them for their colors, since they are so completely different in color, but that's my recommendation. Luckily because the frame profile (shape) is identical for all of them, even if the color stripes are different, they will still look like a collection. Actually, on the EV Rocket, EV Batman and EV Black & Blue posters would look good with the white-striped frames shown on the OP, so that could be your "consistent" element, and all other factors could be unique.

What stripe would you recommend with the Batman poster? Silver maybe? I have mine stored away and can't remember the color scheme...lol.

Do they have this style frame without the color stripe? or with a "black" colored stripe?

Good question. There's a few that would look nice on it.

The silver-striped is now manufactured as a white-stripe (see note on website just above frame colors). The white-striped frame would look sharp on it, and you can see it on the bottom of the OP on a horizontal EV poster. It would be a bold choice. The yellow-striped frame seen below might look really good on the Batman poster too. It's a soft yellow (not too intense) and I think it would compliment the yellow in the Batman poster. And if you think you'd prefer a plain black frame, send me a PM. As far as matting, that's easy on that one. I have on mine with a black top-mat and a neon-orange second mat.

For those who want a plain black frame instead of a color striped frame, I'm glad to swap out for this frame.

CJ, not sure if youngster mentioned, but one of his two will actually be mine. But just a question, have you done a Hartford 08 poster yet? If so, what was chosen for framing and matting color? Thanks buddy!
