PJ's Best Concert Elimination Tournament ?
Since everyone always is engaging in these (mostly) friendly debates about which show is best... did anyone ever have the idea to create a field of 32 PJ shows and run a single-elimination tournament over a couple of weeks. Basically, you'd have two shows head-to-head in a tournament like March Madness. You could give the playlists to both, maybe some special thing they are known by. Anyone who was at one of the shows could weigh in (or at both and compare them). People would then vote for the winner. After a day or two of voting, winner moves to the sweet 16 (and so on) and loser goes home. Worthwhile summer time waster or no?
It doesn't seem like I have access to posting a poll... but I suppose this could be done manually as well.
If any interest is shown.. we'd just need a list of 32 which shouldn't be hard. There would be some grumbling about the bubble tournaments but the eventual winner won't be confused for #33 anyway so it should be all good.
OK CURRENT LIST OF 32

Seattle 2000 is a must on the list as well
MSG II 98 and MSG I 03
Boston 10'
Copenhagen 07'
Newcastle Australia 06' should be on there hands down
06/16/00 - Spodek: Katowice, Poland
easily top 2 or 3 shows of the entire 2000 tour.
i would hate to be excluded from voting for one of my great shows. maybe we should use a 10 point scale when two shows go head to head. you give it a score and state if you attended. if you attneded, your score is reduced by 1 or 2 points.
hands down
Plz do. Sloppy show...Rare vinyl doesn't make a spectacular show.
The Setlist is sick.....and it sounds great on CD. Fatal, 25 Minutes to Go, Nothing As It Seems, I could go on....
Was that the only 25 Minutes to Go ever??? I would kill to hear that.
nor does a setlist

Journey Ends:
They played it a handful of times that autumn.
Anyway, I think when voting the best you have to nominate the shows everyone knows. I nominted atlanta 1994 beause I cannot see any other show & recording that has done more to the pj universe. It has spread so much love and been such a staple in the pj live category for so many years.. It is absolutely worthy a title such as this.

Soldier Field 95
MSG 2010 (night 2)
Atlanta 94 (night 2)
Seattle 2000 (final night of that tour)
Without a doubt, Atlanta 2 in 1994 should be in it. So should the Randall's Island(#2 i assume?) show mentioned in 1996.
Here's some suggestions:
1992-June 18-Zurich
1993-Oct. 28-San Francisco
1995-Feb. 21-Osaka, Japan
I"ll have to go and listen to some boots from 1998, to try and add one from that year. Also with the 2000's, as its been awhile since i've listen to those, except the 09' tour. Here's some from 09' :
2009-Oct. 30-Philly-3
2009-Oct. 31-Philly-4
2009-Oct. 7-L.A.-4
2009-Nov. 20-Melbourne
And how about Boston 2010? I wasn't there so i guess i should wait to hear the boot, but its looks Great on PAPER.
Thanks for giving me a reason to listen to some more boots.
This makes ALOT of sense to me "81".
