Exactly. Don't think you know any of these guys. Rory has his critics too. Just ask his ex.
You mean his childhood sweetheart that he dumped right after his Master's win so he could hook up with the hot tennis player?

Here is what you need to know about golf. The higher the round of golf costs, there is a direct correlation with the percentage of assholes that roam said course. When it goes from public course to private course, the asshole percentage is multiplied by a factor of 6. :ugeek:

I have to assume everyone on the PGA tour is an asshole.

    "Keep firing, assholes!"

This is supposed to be a fun loving good time thread. :D

If you don't like Tiger and occasional 'FUCK TIGER' will suffice. ;)

Personally it seems to me that most pro athletes are douches but I'm only paying to see them play thier sport for entertainment. I myself am not entertained by peoples personal lives.

    Point taken.

  • personal life maybe shouldnt play a role in how we judge celebrities, but lets face it, it does. If it came out that your favorite musician was an absolute jerk, and a racist, this is just a hypothetical has no bearing on tiger, but of course, you and alot of other people would probably think of that celebrity differently than you once did. So, while I agree, seperating a persons private life, and their professional life, is ideal, its just not what most people do. OJ Simpson will never be looked at the same way ever again, he just wont. Even though what he did on the football field is legendary.

As far as my opinion on tiger, i just think its obvious he's mentally blocked. Its not the swing, maybe it is, its partly his injuries. Its his aging. And its his realizing, as a result of the scandal that he wasnt spending as much time with his family as he needed to. I think he feels lost, spiritually and in his life in general, still. I think it would be crazy to assume he's let go of, and dealt completely with all his demons that reared their heads during the scandal. Ive said it a million times here, and no one really has responded even though it has obvious ramifications, he's flat out said, if his kids are around him, he wont play or practice that day. Thats going to effect your game. I think he has his priorities straight now, but lets face it, thats going to alter your game. If you spend your time raising kids, you have less time to play golf. From what it sounds like I dont think he was as involved in their lives as he is now.

Somethings clearly wrong with his game. How many times since his comeback has he looked good, people started rolling out the red carpet, then he collapses? Every single major he's entered since the scandal. So clearly something is going on.

He may come out and say that about his kids because he has to. He's not going to say he has the kids this week but hasn't seen them because he's preparing for the PGA. If he just spends the time with his kids that he used to spend with other women then he'll still have plenty of practice time.

In terms of his game there is clearly a mental issue. I think it's a lack of confidence in his new swing when things get tight. You can't have even the slightest doubt in your head on day 3 or 4 in a major- not on those courses. If he can lock this thing down by next season and be 100% comfortable with it he should win a major or 2 next season. He was in contention for 3 this year and everybody says his game is off.
