I'll bet after the first hole yesterday every tigger fan was jumping up and saying "Here we go!".
18 holes and 7 bogeys later they just can't understand why,why is this happening to my hero.
Chunking chip shots and missing short putts.....the pressure is getting to him.
No one is bigger than the game
This is going to be a great final round without that asshole in contention.
I guess a lot of people won't be tuning in now.
Who cares....they aren't real golf fans anyway.
I'm pulling for Jason Day,Luke Donald or even Phil.

People who hate tiger are sooooo much more tiresome than his fans and its funny that they don't see it

Phil or more so Stricker for me. Would love to see him win a major, huge fan favorite this week. Like I said, not a big Phil fan but am a sucker for a good story.

I'm a fan but certainly not a lover. Couldn't watch yesterday but was disappointed when I saw he choked. I'll be watching today but like him or not it's compelling when he's in contention. The perceived pressure from fans and foes continues to make it more and more interesting with each major loss.

I think my tv just became brighter when the tigger fans tuned out after his drive on the 2nd hole.
    Great day for golf.

Another phenomenal fucking day. Sat at the 2nd green for about the first 3 hours. Saw everyone come through and say a good half dozen birdies and a couple eagles. Then just bounced around.

Phil hitting some sort of wood out of the bunker on 6 was outstanding (right after I told him to "get crazy").

Just a great day. I am not the biggest Phil fan but would LOVE to see him win his first US Open here.

    PHIL-ADELPHIA

God Bless America. Guess who's going to Pinehurst next year?

Edit: Phil has never been #1 in the world?!??!?!?!

I went Friday and had an awesome day. we got there and immediately saw tiger rory and adam scott play 18 so walked around for a few holes with them but kind of hard to see. then walked around to see a few holes before heading back to the Trophy Club for lunch. that was a really cool place.

after lunch headed back out and made way down to the area by 4 and 9. ended up heading over to sit on the hill overlooking the 9th green, 10th tee up behind us and could see over to the 4th green. great spot other than no concessions over there but didn't mind much since I hate Budweiser so didn't drink much anyways. stayed in that spot for a few hours and pretty much saw everyone come through there. great little par 3 hole that everyone was leaving their tee shots short.

just awesome to see Merion kicking their ass too. after all the talk about the rain and how they scores could get really low. pretty darn neat to have the US Open within 2 miles of my house too. really hasn't been bad with traffic or anything around here either.

just hope the rains holds off all day sunday so they can finish. also not a big Phil fan but hope he ends up pulling it out. would be a great story and he has really seemed to enjoy Merion all week.

Word. Good stuff. We sat on the hill at 9 for a while on Tuesday but it looked like an absolute zoo yesterday afternoon. It really has been a perfect week in every way. Everything has worked out well and I think they proved they can host a modern US Open and I expect it to be back, maybe not for 20 years or so (especially since rumor has it they are losing $10 million this week), but it will be there again. Been a dream week.

I dug how Rory said something along the lines of none of the players were the ones expecting low scores, it was just the media and finished it by saying "you guys must be some pretty good golfers".

Not too many complaints from the players about the course aside from some mild remarks from Westwood and some harsh words from Zach Johnson

Pinehurst is about 90 minutes from my mom in North Carolina so just picked up USGA tickets for next year. Very excited about that but that won't come close to this, I can't imagine.

As soon as they cut to him I told my brother, to "watch this I bet its a hole in one", and he was shocked that I was able to call it. (But it's actually really easy to know when they show the unbelievable shots from +20 players. )

    Go Phil! :)

I like rory, but if Tiger broke a club what would people be saying? Rory does it and I assume it's just because he is young

    What the hell is a Pell's 8?
It's a Pelz 8 which, apparently, is a softer 8 iron swing. It's referring to Dave Pelz, a golf instructor.

He's inoffensive, a little dull maybe. Would've liked to see Poulter win it but he's had a nightmare final round. Being English I'd like to see Rose win it but I'd like to see big Phil win it too. He's just such a nice guy
