Sounds like Day is having back issues...ugh

He's in a ton of pain.

I walked away, but heard Rickie hit a 410 yard tee shot on 12 - damn

This course is pretty cool looking....

Couple questions if I may--what kind of drivers do you guys use? Stiff/flex shaft? Loft?

I got a used Cleveland 588 one last year (2014). Regular flex shaft. The pro at the range I go to suggested it for me. At the time I was still starting out and my swing speed probably isn't as fast as it is now. I feel like I hit my 3 wood TaylorMade SLDR better and further, sometimes even not teed up. It's a stiff shaft that I bought on my own a couple years ago before I met with the Pro. Just feel like I always hit the SLDR cleaner than my driver. Has that better sound, you know?

Anyway, thinking of upgrading the driver. Any suggestions? My friend said he heard the Titlelist 913 was good. I'm also fond of the TaylorMade's....

I have a TaylorMade Burner. 10.5 loft. Regular flex shaft.

The only suggestion I can give you is to get what feels best for you. Go somewhere where they can get your swing speed and dial you in on the loft / shaft.

I hit a Callaway FT-iz. 10.5 loft, regular. Funny looking but I am on my second one and it feels good.

Unless you have crazy swing speed, you probably don't need stiff, but yeah, go with what feels right.

One more thing I'll add. Whatever you decide to get, look for last years model of the same club. You'll easily save $200.

Yes! Always always always buy a model at least 1 year old. Never buy the latest equipment.

New Callaway driver does look sick though

If Dustin Johnson really banged walker's wife, this matchup is extremely awkward

Rock bottom golf and eBay are two awesome places to get great deals if you figure out what you want.

I buy balls off eBay every year and I am set for the season

Yeah this course is awesome. Cool getting a look at a new course every once in a while. Players hated the course in Arizona. Maybe a few too many wedges but that's inevitable with how far these guys hit it

Having my morning coffee and watching...no wind and sunny. Come back to watch after a shower and wind is blowing super hard. May get those 400 yard drives on 12 again if wind is blowing right

Golf is in such a great spot right now. Hell of a win for Day after thinking he might WD.

The end of that tournament gets so boring though. Tuned in for the Rory/Day match up, which didn't really live up to the billing and didn't watch any of the final round. It's just so slow and bad TV.

    LESS THAN 2 WEEKS!

you should look at your swing first ... determine your swing speed, launch angle and spin rate ... that way you can determine what loft you need in your driver ...

i have been using titliest drivers for a while and won't likely change ...
