Played Bethpage Blue last Monday...Shot a 93, I was thrilled. I know its not great yet but I've come a long way. I played thru the mild winter & trips to Florida. I've been watching some youtube videos prior to playing and something just clicked in terms of my stance, footwork. I feel like I'm turning a big corner and will gradually get better.

Played 36 Holes last Thursday at Eisenhower Park White by Nassau Coliseum here on Long Island.
1st 18 Holes I played with my buddy...shot a 91 (easier coarse than Bethpage), made a sick sick 25ft put for par. Watching it go in was awesome.
We waited on 2 more people and started another round in the afternoon....drank like 3 beers before I tee'd off, another 5-6 on front 9.....Finished with a 95.It didn't help.

I'm def hooked on the sport, been ordering new shirts, pants etc. everytime I get an email from Golfsmith...Its not cheap but its good times.

I plan on playing at least 3 times a week once the weather gets a little better. My buddy is part of a club, I get a little discount there but like mixing it up at different places.

That's awesome, man. I had a buddy who played Black right behind Phil before the last time the US Open was there.

I need to find the time to get out more often and really concentrate on it. Every year I say I'm going to, then life happens.

So apparently some dudes were heckling Poutler recently telling him to hit it in the water and that he wasn't going to make the Ryder Cup team. Not really something that should be done at a golf tournament, but whatever. Poulter then tried to have them kicked out, they posted about it on Twitter and apparently Poulter responded copying their employer or something and got one of them fired from their job.

    He is the absolute worst.

still ... i'm tired of assholes .... i'm tired of people who think being an asshole is funny or cool or whatever ... it's like the guy who went from rich man neurosurgeon to rollerblader on the beach said ... just don't want to be an asshole ...

Ian is a dick..he just reminds me of a spoiled brat.. Adam Scott still in fine form with another -5 today. Probably one of the favorites but he could be a good play at Augusta. Especially since the short putter seems to be working..

I agree. Not the time or place to be heckling him. Ryder cup on the other hand, heckle him all day.

That said, a many times over millionaire who constantly posts pictures of his Ferrari's getting a dude probably making less than $50k fired is about as petty as it gets. It actually angers me.

I have Bubba at 14-1 and Scott at 11-1 for the Masters. I really don't like either of them. Scott is just so damn vanilla and he beat El Pato at the Masters.

    My least favorite golfers

    Poulter
    Bubba

    Sergio

    Scott

what grounds did the employer have for firing him?

I assume that he is a representation of the company in public.

i would think he's got a legit wrongful dismissal case ... although dude did include FSC in his twitter handle ... so, maybe that's why ...

either way - reading internet comments and seeing what people will post on their social media accounts is so fucking sad ... i wish there was more accountability ...

Yeah, I figured because he had that and their logo in it I think.

For sure. It's insane how much people share.

That said, you don't think it's petty for him to try to get the guy fired?

oh ... it's completely petty and an asshole move ... not trying to justify that at all ...

it's just that the scourge on this planet of assholes has reached epidemic proportions and i've lost all empathy for these "fratboy" types who think getting blitzed at a golf tournament who get off heckling golfers and then tweeting about it ... it's like a) you don't know you're being a dick and b) you aren't smart enough to know you shouldn't post something tied to your work about it ...

Yeah, I agree with that, though in the grand scheme of things, what they said was pretty harmless. I just don't think heckling is part of golf in general, unless it's the Ryder Cup. But yeah, in general, I agree with you. That said, I've done and said my fair share of dumb shit.

Definitely not the point of the competition, but I kinda dig the home field advantage. I'm not talking anything crazy, but I kinda like it when the players get it a little bit.

Players talk shit, fans talk shit, all in good fun.

Plus without the heckling, we never would have gotten this

I agree. Not the time or place to be heckling him. Ryder cup on the other hand, heckle him all day.

That said, a many times over millionaire who constantly posts pictures of his Ferrari's getting a dude probably making less than $50k fired is about as petty as it gets. It actually angers me.
what grounds did the employer have for firing him?
I assume that he is a representation of the company in public.

i would think he's got a legit wrongful dismissal case ... although dude did include FSC in his twitter handle ... so, maybe that's why ...

either way - reading internet comments and seeing what people will post on their social media accounts is so fucking sad ... i wish there was more accountability ...
Yeah, I figured because he had that and their logo in it I think.

For sure. It's insane how much people share.

That said, you don't think it's petty for him to try to get the guy fired?
oh ... it's completely petty and an asshole move ... not trying to justify that at all ...

it's just that the scourge on this planet of assholes has reached epidemic proportions and i've lost all empathy for these "fratboy" types who think getting blitzed at a golf tournament who get off heckling golfers and then tweeting about it ... it's like a) you don't know you're being a dick and b) you aren't smart enough to know you shouldn't post something tied to your work about it ...

some guy at an mls game here a year or so ago got fired for his part in a reporter heckling/harassment thing ... but eventually got his job back through some grievance ...
Yeah, I agree with that, though in the grand scheme of things, what they said was pretty harmless. I just don't think heckling is part of golf in general, unless it's the Ryder Cup. But yeah, in general, I agree with you. That said, I've done and said my fair share of dumb shit.
just to be clear - I don't think the dude should lose his job over it either ...

i didn't think heckling was part of ryder cup either ... if it happens on both sides - sure, I guess ... i thought they always try to portray the event as still gentlemanly ... don't think heckling is gentlemanly ...
Definitely not the point of the competition, but I kinda dig the home field advantage. I'm not talking anything crazy, but I kinda like it when the players get it a little bit.

Players talk shit, fans talk shit, all in good fun.

Plus without the heckling, we never would have gotten this

isn't that the 2nd most hated player on the pga according to players poll? ... haha

I will gladly be the guy you hate if I see Poulter, fuck him. Follow that asshole on Twitter if you need explanation.

i have no idea why ... but i decided to check out dude's twitter ... pretty benign ... pimping his clothing line mostly ... granted I only went back a few weeks ... dude posts a lot ...

anyways - not sure why anyone would follow someone they dislike ...
Poulter blocked me for saying he can't win in the US. hahahah. One of my prouder moments.

Dude loves posting pictures of his cars.

haha, yeah, everyone hates him and I am not a huge fan, but I do enjoy that kind of stuff in the Ryder Cup.

I don't follow but read retweets from him bitching about how he has to fly with his crying kids because his nanny and kids flights were delayed so they had to fly charter with him

It's real easy. Just sign up, put 10 or 20 bucks in w/ credit card. You pick 5 players w/ each player having a $ amount associated w/ their abilities. I usually play the 3$ games every week which can parlay into 20 grand if u win. The most I have won was 30 bucks w/ a 3 buck bet. Nothing like Having a little action on any sport if u ask me.
