See I am not a complete apologist but I don't agree with this at all. You really can't compare the two sports. Federer doesn't win anymore because he is old. Phi is still winning majors at 43. Federer is his age, Tiger is his current game.

and federer won a tournament last year too ... in the end it's about the majors ... federer is making semis and tiger is top 10 ... but winning is all that really matters and he simply isn't as dominant as he once was ...

his best chance is gonna be the masters cuz they limit the field there ... but outside of that ... he's gotta tee it up against fields that are hitting it further and putting better ...

i would say lefty is better than him ... rose ... scott ... stenson ... rory (when he sorts out his clubs like tiger had to) ... jason day ... then the US guys like spieth, mahan, simpson, dufner, etc ...

when was tiger's last major? ... 2008? ... i know he's been hurt for part of that drought but it's been a while ... same thing with federer ...

Eh, the only one on that list I can mildly agree with is Scott. The rest have way too many questions and Tiger is still the number 1 player in the world. Rose is hurt, Stenson is legit but has a ways to go and Rory needs to get back.

You can't compare Federer and Tiger. And yes, his last major is 2008. I am not saying Tiger is going to win another major or break 18, I think he will win a couple more. I also think it's in his head right now. When you win that many tournaments, i just don't see a way one or two won't land on the right weekend.

I almost compare it to Jeter chasing 3,000 hits. Dude struggled big time with those last few hits then went wild once the monkey was off his back.

winning a major obviously requires mental fortitude ... if scott was a little bit stronger there ... he would have at least 2 or 3 more ...

it's really where I think Tiger actually is still reasonably strong ... you gotta remember he's never won a major (or tournament?) after being behind after 54 holes ...

he isn't one of the longest hitters anymore ... not in distance or accuracy ... his ball striking is mediocre and his putting is a roller coaster ... put it together and i just think overall there are a guys that are better than him now when you look at the overall game ...
