    wow!

Charley Hoffman is probably having his best 2 days of golf in his life and he's 4 shots back.
Nobody will ever get my sympathy like Chris DiMarco in 2005. He and Tiger finished at -12, SEVEN strokes better than third place finishers. That's means that DiMarco was better than every other golfer in the world by seven strokes....except one. Of course, this was the Masters where Tiger pulled that legendary chip out of his ass. Plus, DiMarco came within inches of a chip-in on 18 to win. THAT is a tough loss to swallow. Seven strokes better than everybody except Tiger.

  • Rose really bounced back after that awful start today. If he can manage another birdie or two he's looking good going into the weekend.

If they had a 10 shot off the lead cut back in tigers hayday, there may have been weekends where it was tiger and 2 other people.

    Tiger shoots -4 tomorrow
    Shoots -4 on Sunday
    Finishes at -10

And Speith does the ultimate choke job.

    Stranger things have happened.

I hope Speith turns into Jean Van De Velde.

I feel as if you first put down Norman because everybody knows of Norman's collapses but then google searched "worst golf meltdown ever" or something like that and learned about Van De Velde's collapse in the 1999 Open. Hence the time between posts.

I feel like van de velde is the more well known collapse at this point, no? Though the Norman collapse was like an 11 stroke swing, right?

    Maybe I am just young

Well really I'm just trolling his trolling. But still I think I'd disagree just because Norman is such a bigger name that he's kinda synonymous with meltdowns. It's like how Dan Marino is synonymous with not winning the Super Bowl. Even if you don't watch football, you probably know that fact. And frankly, I think Norman in 1996 is probably worse than Van De Velde in some respects just because how how long it went on for. Van De Velde was just a disastrous hole (highlighted by the lunacy of him taking of his shoes and pondering playing it from the water). But even then, he did hole a pretty tough putt to save triple bogey and force the playoff. Norman started the round up 5 and lost by 6. That's as bad as a round of professional golf can go.

I think Bubba has taken the title of asshole of the world. Guy couldn't shake Cranshaw's hand as he left the 18th even with Ben's hand extended.

I saw someone earlier write something about Bubba being an asshole. I wish that weren't true. But not shaking his hand is more than just an asshole move, he flew right into dick head land.

Me too. It doesn't get any better in my humble opinion. The serene yet highly charged dramatic atmosphere is beyond compare. Go Angel!

If Spieth shoots in the 60's again this thing is over. I don't want to root against him but a 73 would make Sunday so much better.

The best back 9 in Masters history?

And the same guy that got a hole in one this week, almost 30 years later. Incredible.

I'm pulling for a 59. Don't get me wrong, a good Sunday would be great but a guy just going lights out can be fun to watch too.
