For Moore, anyone can sue anyone. It takes about $300 bucks in Alabama to file a civil suit and and he's a lawyer so he could do it pro se. So your statement means jack shit in terms of guilt. Every news source was following it because Trump brought it up. News sources were discussing why it is important that we do something. They went and interviewed the migrants in central America then after the election, everyone stopped reporting on it.
You even said it was a political ploy and I agree with you. Both sides got what they wanted from it.
1-to put Trump as an unemphatic person towards the plights of the migrants.
2-to show that an "invasion" was coming and to be scared.
Trump stopped tweeting and the media stopped caring.
