    is a .229 hitter worth $765M?
Since this post, Soto has been the best hitter in baseball. On an absolute tear.
really? like THE best? no one better? with the Mets scuffling, I don’t know if you’re being serious or sarcastic.
    June stats: 23 G .325 AVG .485 OBP 1.238 OPS 10 HR
The team went 11-12 for the month of June so far with an 2-8 for their last 10.  Theyve been on a skid and Mets fans are a little worried but they do always panic early.

They’re in a spiral for sure. It’s ironic Mets had the  best record in baseball when he wasn’t playing great and now they have been under .500 in June when he’s playing awesome.

I have said that Soto has always been a slow starter.  He heats up during the season.  He's doing that now.  If the team gets out of their funk they will start rolling again.

    RIP

And YES, he should've been a HOF before this year.

I can only speak for “my” team, but you can stick a fork in the Giants.

maybe they can re-trade Devers at the deadline.

He's getting paid by the Mets until 2035. It wasn't a standard contract though. It was a deal to be bought out of his contract. Mets wanted to release him, but still owed him $5.9M. So, naturally, they agreed to pay him nearly $30M from 2011-2035.

He's also getting paid $500K by the Orioles until 2028. Not bad for a dude who hasn't suited up in over 20 years.

I just now learned the Mets thought they’d be ahead because they invested the $5.9M.

who’d they invest with? wait for it…..
