Not only did The Dodgers lose a no-hitter, they lost the game as well. Wobbie i'm sure is smiling/laughing wherever he is.

What a melt down by the LAD.

I'm not saying Pages could've caught the HR, but doesn't he have to get to the fence and at least try to catch that ball? Ball barley went over the fence. I know this player would've tried to catch that HR:

RIP, is he in the HoF?

Looks like he's not. That's really surprising to me. His managerial career was really good and he was a solid player.

It SOMEWHAT eased my disgust with the Giants’ own ninth inning meltdown.

phony ESPN “win probability” gave the d*dgers a 99.6% win chance with two outs. the high priced bullpen they bought sucks.

Yamamoto had the 8,9 and 1 hitters to get out and couldn’t do it.

    Wow.

Imagine being on fire for 8 innings and falls part the last.  Damnnnnn
not much of an effort by Andy Pages on the right field fence on that homer. Angel Martinez made a much better effort on Juan Soto's homer on Aug. 6 when Gavin Williams was two outs away for Cleveland.

what’s “a maddux”? complete game, less than 100 pitches?

well, verlander threw 121 in five innings yesterday but struck out 10, didn’t allow a run and got the W. 👍
Yep & also has to be a shutout.

  • As a Mets fan, I’m glad if they some how miraculously stop sucking and get in, they might face the dodgers and then Phillies. Milwaukee is the last team I’d like to play in the NL.

If you would have told me that the Detroit Tigers whole team would start hitting I'd have called you a liar...

On the Yankees pregame radio show the other day, their pitching coach Matt Blake referred to pitchers warming up in the bullpen and not being used as "dry humps".

I've never heard that before lolol.

Saw his pitch in person for the first time when I covered a Dodgers-Mets game in 2008. It was his third career start at the time and also Joe Torre's return to New York after the Yankees didn't retain him.

Agreed, and I'm a Yankees fan. He's more one-dimensional than the floor.

And his swing is so stiff. But I'll take that swing in October lol.
