Hmmm. :| As a longtime A's fan I would like to think that if they end up moving to Las Vegas and start to get more revenue, that they will actually keep their good players. However I am also not delusional. John Fisher sucks.

Would you still root form them when they're in Las Vegas?

I was definitely upset the Braves couldn't keep Freeman, but have been more than happy with Olson as his replacement. He just hit his 51st homer, tying the single season franchise record held by Andruw Jones. I always thought it was odd/amazing that Hank Aaron hit around 730 homers as a Brave, but never hit more than 50 in a season.

Acuña now 3 away from a 40/40 season. I'm betting he's just going to be swinging for the fences every at bat until he gets it.

Honestly, I have asked myself that question during this process, and probably not. I grew up taking BART to the Coliseum to watch games from the bleachers before the Raiders came back from LA and destroyed that. I haven't lived in the Bay Area since 1990 when I left for the Navy, so where they play their home games doesn't affect me much at all. However my Aunt lives a couple of towns South of Oakland and is a die hard fan. Through all of the BS that this ownership has pulled, she has been faithfully attending multiple games every year. She is devastated by the move, and talking to her about how much the team means to her and the sense of loss she is feeling, I just can't see myself continuing to root for them.  My hope is that the move falls apart which causes them to stay in Oakland, or the surrounding area, with an ownership change.

Dude, Freeman is an MVP candidate again.  He's killing it.

Acuna achieving 40/40 will be exciting.  I was hoping for Ohtani to do it but nope...  Jrod might be the next.

Yeah, that's why I was disappointed Atl couldn't hang on to him. But, it's not like they're playing some scrub instead. The business of it sucks as a fan sometimes.

I'm hearing, from a reliable source, that Fisher will be selling the team in short order and padding his bank account.

no, I think he cashes out. new stadium = more money.

my same reliable source tells me mark davis will soon be selling the raiders.

So the internet is good for something. Today I found out Pete Crow Armstrong's mom is the mom in Little Big League. She was made for this.
His dad was Ted Sprague in Heroes.

If he sells the team after the move the fans In Oakland are going to have a meltdown. Interesting about the Raiders. The Davis family has controlled the ownership group forever, but when they moved to Las Vegas it was reported that they  were the NFL owners with the least amount of wealth. Selling the team will change that for sure.

the crazy thing is, I heard oakland would immediately become a top 2 MLB expansion site, along with nashville. WTF?

and, my “reliable source” confirms mark davis is not all that wealthy. unlike other owners, the raiders are “all” he has. compare that to the dude who just bought the commanders or kronke, etc. davis has trouble making payroll and/or giving out signing bonuses. the other 49% of ownership belongs to a ton of people who haven’t seen a dividend in years.

I thought about him too but I really like Coles numbers even though his team stunk.  I gave him a bunch of shit during the spider tact thing and he was still one of the best pitchers out there.  His era speaks volumes to me but if Snell gets it I wouldn't be mad.

    Good point @Cutz

Problem is they don't have their pitching staff, nor some of their hitters.  It is a miracle they are still hanging around above .500
