They will give them 1 more year. Coach may get fired now but Larussa and Stewart both get 1 more.
damn. TLR is a giant douche.
This. He had a hell of a managerial career but I have a strong dislike for TLR.

TLR could end up getting let go. Stewart has an option year on his deal, TLR's deal ends after this season and would need a new contract.

It was in this thread where we discussed the 30 for 30 on Doc & Darryl....and how at the end, in the diner scene, that Doc looked like he was jacked up pretty badly?
    :(

As a lifelong diehard mets fans, I will always have mixed emotions bout these 2. Doc has always been using on and off and if Darryl says he's using again, I'll take the word of a former coke user himself. In recent years I remember one 86 anniversary cermony where Doc was wearing a baggy suit and he wasn't speaking that well. It's a shame these 2 pissed away surefire hof career's over drugs. In hindsight these 2 should have grown and developed in the minor leagues, but the Mets were in a tough spot with a win now team in the 80's.

Apparently the yanks are offering to pay for his treatment but he is refusing.

Yea, fame hit those 2 fast and the money came rolling in. I wasn't aware how deep doc was in alcohol. I knew about Daryls amphetamine use well before I knew he was on coke or crack. When you're 20 and 21, you really do think you're untouchable and it will last forever. That Mets really should have been the Braves of the 90s. Only with 3 or 4 world series championships.

Kyle Hendricks now has a major league leading ERA of 2.16 in 24 starts. He has given up 3 earned runs or less in 17 consecutive starts. That is the most in baseball this year. Dude has quietly become the most consistent pitcher in baseball. His record is just 12-7, but it can be argued that he has been the best cubs pitcher this year

    You jinxed it dude.

Bloop single with 2 outs in the 9th, breaks up Matt Moore's no-hit bid.

I don't think thers been a no hitter this year, that i recall.

He did. Or at least Eddie told us so as it was happening during the Columbia, SC show.

Both of his were last year.
Arrieta is the lone gunman so far this season.

That's right it was the night of the columbia show. I remember trying to verify that on a couple of my fantasy teams but the reception in the GA was horrible. I had no bars.

Real strong chance that 2nd basemen will lead both leagues in hitting this year. This has never happened.
Altuve leads the AL at .353. Dustin Pedroia is third.
Lemahieu leads the NL at .344 just one point over Daniel Murphy. Jean Segura is 6th.
