i have no problem with what he did. hes playing shitty and was frustrated at that and to get a bs call put him over the edge. would you have a problem if a highly touted phils prospect did that? this kid plays the game the right way and goes outta his way to sign autographs minutes before a game and people still shit on the kid. who cares if the dude has got swagger or is cocky. as long as he can back it up, i don't care what he does on the field.

i wish this douchebag was with the b-mets(Binghamton Mets)

If you know me from my posts, I generally don't like guys that talk a lot or act like a-holes (still have an issue pulling for vick as a birds fan). If this was one incident with harper it would be one thing, but he has initiated a bunch of crap like this since he got drafted. I'm sure he has a target on him, but he just comes off oozing with douche. plus he's gonna be in the phils division, so I don't like him (I might admittedly be kinda biased).

i can't wait to boo the hell outta this douche and hope it's this year. i like a player thats bit of old school and he's like that. i'll take a douchebag that plays the game the right way and all on my team over a guy like ollie p who just cashed in one good season and never ever showed an ouch of heart or balls. kid has had a target on his back ever since he's been playing proball and when he gets to the majors the nats will sink of swim with him.

    seriously

check this shit out. fucking crazy. 13 K's is a 4 game series for ryan howard

Dan Uggla's hitting streak is at 33 games, a remarkable feat. Every time some hitter begins to climb the 56-game ladder built by Joe DiMaggio 70 years ago, it gives us a chance to appreciate what an incredible hitter DiMaggio was.

So far this year, Uggla has 494 plate appearances and 104 strikeouts. In the year of his 56-game hitting streak, DiMaggio had 621 plate appearances, and 13 strikeouts.

In the first seven years of his career -- before he began his military service in World War II -- DiMaggio had a total of 196 strikeouts.

I'm still amazed at that stat. During the streak, he only struck out 5 times. How many does Uggla have now?

really? so you're ok with a guy hitting .220 and striking out 20% of the time?

might want to re-evaluate your statement

by nobody, i was referring to the players, managers, teams.

fans care, but players don't any more. used to be a big negative around K's, not so much today

  • Uggla isn't going to the hall of fame unless they have a criteria for guys whose last name starts with a U and ends with a vowel. Even if he went 1-for-5 in 56 straight games, it would still be a noteworthy accomplishment just because of the other good hitters in the Hall of Fame besides DiMaggio who haven't been able to do it.
