Phillies.  No hitter?  Anyone?  124 pitches.  Years ago that was nothing.  Todays game?  Wow.
It was funny - I couldn't remember the guy's name, even after he pitched 8 innings at Miami. Then I was like - it's the South St. pizza place with obnoxiously oversized slices (Lorenzo's) plus an "n" and I've been good ever since. Anyway he was really struggling in the 1st inning but he got out of it and had a lot of pitches. Then the bats went off in the bottom of the 1st. The whole time watching the Nationals still have zero hits it's like, Lorenzen has way too many pitches, Topper is definitely gonna take him out, this sucks. Then he's already at 100 and he goes out for the 8th, looks like he might get a shot at it. And Rojas the CF looks like friggin Willie Mays out there, catching everything in a 3 mile radius. Then Dylan Covey is warming up in the bullpen - this has to be some joke. So Mike comes out for the 9th and finishes it off.

This was after Tombstone Sheriff Westin Wilson blasted a homer in his first major league at bat. And Castellanos hit his 200th homer. And Trea Turner has a 6 game hitting streak since his "undeserved" standing ovations. Philly Philly!
I love a no hitter.  Good for him and cool that you watched the game.  I only got the highlights!

Why aren’t we talking about the Braves, Matt Olson, Ohtani and Wander Franco?

Matt Olson is on fire.  He might get MVP over Acuna.

Braves are just a sick team.  Albies, Riley Strider Acuna.  Team is stacked!

Ohtani continues to be good and My Halos continue to be horrible.

Because they've been doing this for 30+ years and then they blow it in the playoffs. Like last year. :)

Yeah that blows. But I figured that's what they were talking about when they were boasting faster security lines. All I think of is that story of the woman who got booted from a Radio City Music Hall show because her firm was litigating against MSG. This will now be the norm. Which very much blows.

    Just say no...
  • Reds calling up Marte, no idea where he will play
On any given night they have 6 rookies going, with 5 regular starters and 2 dudes in rotation as rookies.

Meanwhile two highest payroll teams are not going to make playoffs

My stupid Cubs keep winning series after series after series after series against the absolute best teams in baseball. Dodgers, no problem. Orioles, crushed em. Rays, no sweat. Braves, you call yourselves the best team in the majors? Ha!

Then they just completely shit the bed against the likes of the Nationals, White Sux, & Royals.

    I love/hate this team.  Bums.

Dude, your team is becoming something that I never thought it would.  A winner.

Marte is supposed to be really really good. Like Elly good.

That's for the playoffs. If we play the Cubs they can use Italian beef bats.

  • As long as they don't use Lou Malnati bats.  The explosive diarrhea shooting out of the end of the bat on each swing would be nasty

He was pedestrian for most of the year so it's nice to see.

He has a shot at 30-30 still.  He just missed it last year.
