Why is everyone gettin' so excited? We played a quarter of the season and we have sucked so far...so what! There is a ton of football to be played and I am confident that the Boys will make the playoffs! Hang in there! It can't get any worse than this! Beat the Giants next week and our season is saved! ;)

The ball did hit the receiver's hand...........Jenkins just needs to learn to cover without grabbing everybody.

11 penalties for 91 yards......just sad. The holding that negated Bryant's punt return was completely unnecessary.......there were two guys blocking for christs sake!

Romo made his first real mistake of the season.........but the bigger issue is the pass protection, its god awful. All he can ever get off is dump offs.

We were terrible on special teams again..........gave up the return, but our returns never made it past the 20-25.....

cowboyz have to go 11-0 just to have a chance to make da playoffs and dat ain't happening. this team will be lucky to finish 8-8. overhyped team with once again no leadership from coaching to players.

11-0 to make the playoffs? 12-4 gets you in?

10-6 takes the division...8 or 9 wins will get you a wildcard in this conference.

cowboys are already 0-3 in the conference and that's hurts them badly in tie breakers. cowboys schedule is very tough from here on out. i can't seeing them beating the packers or colts or saints or even the giants.

Dallas will win the next two games to get back to 3-4.

One more note about NFL Officiating and the absolute joke that is the NFL.

Remember the flag for excessive celebration? Well, the officials at the game told Wade Phillips that the flag was on Austin for leapfrogging Roy Williams. That is stupid enough. Stupid of the Cowboys for doing that, and stupid of the NFL for it's dumb rule.

But get this. Yesterday VP of Officiating Carl Johnson told Wade Phillips the flag was actually on Sam Hurd for flashing the Hook 'em Horns a second after Roy Williams did it. They both had them up at the same time. Johnson went on to say that he would have been "upset" if the flag was for the leapfrog.

    WHAT. THE. FUCK.

This is why everyone loves football, but hate the NFL. Are you kidding me? This is confusing to me. By the celebration rule, both actions should have been penalties, although I would question that because the rule is for joint, planned celebrations. So are you saying that in either case, that was planned?

If that is penalty then why isn't the leaping chest or hip bump? Why isn't hugging, or slapping someone on the ass? What is a joint celebration? Doesn't it take two or more people and coordination to pull of a leaping hip bump?

Whatever. Drop that stupid fucking rule already and have some fun, especially if your officials don't even know how to call it.

And yes, I am mad because that was against Dallas, but please don't read this as me saying that cost the Cowboys the game. It didn't because they have no football IQ and suck right now and I understand that. And I would wager that any fan of any team would be annoyed if it happened to them. NFL officials are making the game almost unwatchable lately and they have a habit of becoming a story several times a year.

the celebration stuff is so over done. one of the reasons why college football is better, although they have some dumb rules there as well regarding celebrations

hand the ball to the ref, or put it on the ground. nothing else.

then a group hug, chest bump thing. not a whole lot else.

    i prefer college ball.

At my weekly poker game last night and I play with 3 Dallas fans. Funny how quickly they are to call it quits for their team. I mean they are all whining how the season is over when a little over a month ago they were touting how they were going to be the first SB home team.

Things won't be looking up until Jones(Al Davis Jr.) is gone.

the college game is perhaps more exciting...but the one thing that trumps all that is cool about college football is the archaeic/asinine way they crown a national champion. lose 1 game and your season is basically over most years. it is beyond idiotic.

agreed. 16 team playoff, all confrences get an auto invite, rest filled with at large teams selected by a fan vote. :D

1 powder puff game is eliminated to accomidate the extra games, teams must play everyone in their confrence. confrence championships determined by the regular season. once the tourney is set, the other teams can play in bowl games, IF, they have a winning record. they can use a BCS or something other forumla to determine matchups so that team 17 plays 18, 19 plays 20 etc.

i'm flexible on the rules, but it should be a 16 team tourney.

Calling it done at this point is not whining, it is reality. Sure they are mathematically still in it and will be for a long time. And sure, they are one or two mistakes and bad plays away from being 4-1 or whatever, but they are what they are: a 1-4 team that still has to face Indy, the Giants twice, the Eagles twice, the Saints and the Packers.

I just don't see them doing it. Not this group, with this coach.

The colts have been rebuilding since their title, unless they are happy with being first among losers. But Manning didn't look happy.

Man, I wish Gruden would get back into coaching next year. It would be nice to see him on the Cowboys sidelines too! I love that guy...
