Pretty good show. Not that best I've seen, but great energy from the guys and Ed seemed rather jovial.

Highlights for me were "Animal" and "Unthought Known"...."Black" is always special too.

Took my mother to the show with my other Ten Club ticket for her birthday and we were both very surprised to see that we had gotten second row seats right near Mike. It was her first Pearl Jam concert and my third, the first since St. Louis in 2004.

We both enjoyed the show heavily and I managed to snag a pick for her as a memento.
I figured it was time to change my sig.

What a nice early mother's day gift. Hope my sons do that for me when they're old enough!

BOH went on right at 7:30, and PJ around 9. Maybe a tad bit before.

Great show. The day of traveling was the worst trip but got to meet a few great people. One of the guys I meet was Ben he was a huge fan I think he said it was his 94 show he was such a genuine person. The guy I sat with at the show he was one of the lucky ones to win the lottery. I was in my orignal seat which I got from MCStarr, by the way thanks I hope it was a great show for you, when the guy from my flight texted with the winning the lottery news so I went back outside and then I bought his extra ticket too then gave my stub to some guy that was sitting in the upper deck. So I helped out a few people and got to treat myself even more then I ever expected. I have been to many shows in my life but to finally get front row for PJ made my life complete. I have lots of pics so check me out on Facebook.

I won the lottery!!! FRONT ROW! couldn't believe it. Or wished for anything better. My friend caught a big wad of cake that Ed threw to her then she was just holding it and he looked at her smiled, and threw her the towel that he had wiped his face with. Best souviner! Oh yeah, I finally got to drink his wine.

I won the lottery, too. Front row center. I drank the wine and threw my t-shirt to Eddie to use to wipe his hands and face, but my throw was short and it landed in front of the amps! Eddie handed my friend one of his tamborines. It was awesome! I am still high!

Great energy from crowd and band. Solid balance of hits and not hits. Delightfully surprised by No More. Best had to be either Present Tense or Rockin' in the Free World.

The energy of the crowd was insane. Eddie mentions this in St Louis, they were scared of the initial reaction. Awesome show.

Firstly KC is a most lovely city, it is the city of fountains. The local people so friendly, the food wonderful, especially Jack Stacks. The homes, stone bungalows reminded me of the architecture in Milwaukee.
We took a drive in the countryside unbelievably beautiful. Rolling hills of green, beautiful blue skies, warm sunshine, a nice strong breeze. Met a pretty horse brown and white and a couple cows. The lilacs were in bloom. I would love to go back to KC someday, it is a city to be proud of for sure.
The hotel, the Westin just gorgeous, thank you for the great deal as the earth to the sun. The balconies were closed down but they hooked us up with one that opened in the tree tops overlooking a berm with a great big bunny whom I had cocktails with and shared a bagel :D Lots of local birds too. A memory to hold is the blue jay drinking out of cement holes too funny, just the tip of his tail to be seen and he's a big bird!
The evening lightning storm, that Eddie mentions on the stage, was spectacular, especially listening to Pearl Jam on the balcony with the anticipation for the concert the next night. I need my science guy here again. I've got more questions, like all the lightning but no thunder?? Very cool.
This concert was the concert of great fans. I will cherish the memories of all the great people we met.The crowd was great. My view was tough and no screens available to watch but the girl in front of me was filming so I watched her phone a bit :) ironic after the thread here. Half way through the show the crowd parted just enough and I was in perfect line with Eddies microphone in row 28. It was nice to see him again.
So a  to all my new friends, I am a lucky girl. It is the best thing about Pearl Jam, the coming together of hearts in this common love, a love of the music. And it was great! Come on Hartford!!

Yep, I caught the cake and the towel. Better then that? The eye contact and smile from Eddie as he tossed it to me. I can now die A happy woman. Buried with the towel of course!

I can honestly say without question the cake does glow along with the towel Ed was kind enough to throw my way. His laugh and smile...unforgettable!

What a show, what a night.
Picked up my tickets from willcall, telling my friend about the fan club seating plan, "I've sat in the absolute last row on the top and danced my ass off and it was the best show ever, wherever we sit will be fun." Our tickets say row 1, my whole body gets tingly. We are both realists, (we say), this could mean anything... We head down, the escort grabs our stubs, "are you guys ready?" :) and we start walking, and walking.
Dear god the absolute best night of my life! I got to see Mike play all night right in front of me what a friggin genius. Jeff was amazing, Eddie, what do you say, Eddie, what a soul...sometimes I think the songs have saved my life.
I just got my final orders on the way down to the show from Omaha, for Afghanistan, in exactly two weeks. The guys did all they could to brand a memory in my brain that will shelter me for the next year. Thanks guys.
    I love Pearl Jam!
I hope the memories of that incredible night keep you safe and bring you home soon. Thanks for all you are doing.

Are there enough posters to go around? I am obsessed with having the posters of the shows I've been to. But I'm always worried that if I am having a good time tailgatng I wont want to go in when the doors open and I wont be able to get a poster.

I have been to 21 shows and the only posters I dont have are the 6 MSG shows I've been to. But I dont feel too bad about that since they have all been hideous. The only one I really want is the 2003 one.

Pretty cool day... the way it was set up with the Power and Light District was awesome. Huge pre-party @ Johnny's Tavern that spilled out into the big middle area with every bar rocking PJ all day long. They were even playing some PJ DVD's on the big screen out in the plaza area.

The Sprint Center was a nice building, but not as big as I was expecting. I had floor seats about 2/3 of the way back.

They played their normal 3 sets/28 songs, but since they hadn't been to KC in 7 years, it was mostly "Greatest Hits" stuff with a bunch of new stuff sprinkled in. (the only songs outside of the new stuff I hadn't heard live were "Of the Girl", "MFC", and "Off He Goes") I'm a bigger fan of the shows where you can hear more "catalog" stuff, but it's always a good time to hear them jam out to "Porch" for 7-8 minutes. The crowd was very lively, and they sung along to about everything... even the new stuff. "Just Breathe" was echoing through the arena.

After the 1st break, Eddie came out with a Willie Wilson Royals jersey on, and said he was in the house for his 1st ever PJ show, which got a huge pop out of the crowd.

At the end... they brought out the guy who was the main guy on the gold medal bobsled team in Vancouver. He said he listened to PJ every day to get pumped up for his races... and he plays bass in his spare time, so Eddie gave him a bass and let him play "Yellow Ledbetter" to end the show with them...

McCready did the Hendrix style Star Spangled Banner afterward to end it... which of course ended with those douchebag mullet head KC fans yelling "Home of the CHIEFS!!" at the end... lol

After it ended, we went back to the P&L for a nightcap, and it was still hopping at midnight when we left.

    Good times...

Read alot of good posts about this show...great energy that seemed everyone in the building was feeling. Reminded me of Columbia SC 2008 because it was just a rocker, no easing into the setlist. Top rows I could see people standing and arms up the whole show. That still amazes me bc sitting that high can suck, and people just sit at most other bands concerts.

It sounds cliche here, but the band really did seem to enjoy the welcome they got. After new Orleans, which was good but no where near this intense, they were needing good crowd energy.

I can go on, but evnflow suprisingly more rockin than I've seen in awhile, DTE was intense, all the new stuff cool.... Opened with Of the Girl "priceless"... Offhe goes Eddie on accoustic, very nice.

If there were any naysayers because Kansas city isn't an hour from Boston or MSG, too bad ur just jealous! Ha

agree on the Columbia 2008 comparison. I was at both shows and the crowd's intensity and size of the Arena were very similar. Can't imagine a pre-party beating this one though...great, great show.
