Just got back. Arena was pretty full. As someone mentioned the very back of the upper deck was blocked off but other than that it was full. I was expecting half full because of the predictions on here.

262xxx got me floor, row 23. But on th aisle so could see perfectly.

Solid show. Solid crowd. I like the hits. Nothing wrong with that at all.

First Of the Girl for me so that was awesome.

Awesome show. First time in KC in seven years and the guys came through with a great show. Eddie in great spirits, with a lot of banter. Can't wait for tomorrow night in St. Louis.

Great performance tonight plenty of energy from the band! And a HUGE KUDOS to the scalper (never thought I'd ever thank them) who traded me a first row ticket for two tickets in Row 26.....I was right in front of Stone all night.....

Eddie sang the last few songs with cake in his beard/hair.

Highlights for me were Black, Fixer, Amongst the Waves.....and of course a great opener. I've seen several shows and have gotten all the traditional openers (and a few non traditional ones....particularly All or None)....but I still wait to hear Wash open a show....how about Friday in Indy????
There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.

Great Show sat in Floor 5 seats 1 and 2 row 3 basically dead center of the stage, got to hear some songs that i feel are a little more obscure like of the girl, off he goes, present tense, and insignificance. Played about 6 from backspacer two i was looking forward to were johnnys guitar and amongst the waves. Wish I was going to St louis tomorrow. Hope to catch them in Denver or Phoenix maybe later in the year. Was totally happy with what was played.

Simply amazing. Many surprizes, Porch and DTE were STELLAR! Great energy from the band and a very good setlist. Eddie was in really good spirits and interacted with the crowd many different occasions throughout the show. I can only hope for a night like this in STL.

Looks like Kansas got a good show going by that setlist. Of The Girl is a great opener and I always like to see Present Tense in there. Looking forward to checking youtube after work. Hope you all had a good time. Not long for me now!

Drove from Bondurant, IA to see the show. It was worth it! A few things from the show come to mind that I have not seen posted here already.

First, Eddie started the first encore with a Royals Jersey on and told a story about being friends with Willie Wilson. Then, at the end of 'Given to Fly', he kind of mimiced taking a lead off of a base, then sprinted to the other side of the stage following the last note. People behind me were 'geeking out' to it.

The second tidbit came at the end of the show. Mike was finishing the Star Spangled Banner, and at the very last note, the crowd around me all screamed 'Chiefs.' I laughed because the crowd ALWAYS does that at Aarowhead.

Two more great moments were during song introductions. Before Evenflow, Eddie said "Here's a new song called Mixed Metaphor." Then Evenflow ripped and was a great version I thought...... Before God's Dice, Eddie said how Jeff had wrote it and brought it to the table, but had it titled "God's Balls" The crowd laughed and Eddie started rambling about how they had to change the title in case God was a woman. Then he said, but she would have balls. Then he said it had to be something that dangled. Then he added around something stiff. Eddie seemed to be in a great mood!

And Eddie did wear the gold medal for a while when that USA bobsledder came up to play Yellow Ledbetter......

Great show! Great night! Wish I was going to STL tomorrow!

I won the lottery!!! FRONT ROW! couldn't believe it. Or wished for anything better. My friend caught a big wad of cake that Ed threw to her then she was just holding it and he looked at her smiled, and threw her the towel that he had wiped his face with. Best souviner! Oh yeah, I finally got to drink his wine.

To all the haters who said that KC wouldn't be special, I'm glad to say you were wrong. The show was pretty phenomenal overall. The crowd was GREAT. About 20,000 I'd say, and from the floor section to the wings on either side, no one sat down. The set was RELENTLESS. They went on at about 8:45 and finally left the stage at 11:15. Just a killer set. Highlights: Of the Girl Opener. Great Emek poster. SMITTY BIRTHDAY!!! Cake face. Gold medal. Stoney's hair. Present Tense! JEFF ON THE GOLD TOP!!!!!!! Ridiculous Porch! We Belong tag on Black! No More made my almost cry. I got a Mike pick from my sis who got 2nd row. The only show I've seen that was better was Soldier Field in '95. God I love this band. To quote Ed himself, "St. Louis has their work cut out for them."

First post here, but I had to contribute something.

Drove in from Des Moines, IA. First time I've been able to get into the 10c pre-sale and ended up with row 2 floor 2, right between Eddie and Stone.

It was amazing and I don't really know where to begin. I know there are a lot of tour vets here and I can still count the number of shows I've been to on two hands, but I thought last night was something special.

    And I caught Eddie's pick!

    Wow what a show!!!

I went with a 135xxx member and expected good seats, but damn! We ended up winning the lottery, 1st row right in front of Mike!

We each got 3 picks (all Mike's), drank EV's wine, had some cake and had so much interaction with Mike it was almost too much lol

Great show, great energy from the band which almost equaled the energy from the crowd! Good work KC, see everyone tonight in STL!

I'm so happy I got to hear Of The Girl. I had just jokingly told a neighbor that I hoped they'd open with that. Awesome show overall. A bit crowded in my seat, I had to stand "back" in the aisle so the people on either side of me could have their shoulders in front of me. God it was cramped and I bumped up on everyone around me. Great f*cking show though. Some guy offered me $150 then said "what will you take" for my poster. I only had the one and that's priceless to me. Another guy complimented me for being "hardcore" about my poster.
