  • Yeah, we need an update from Drop1The0Leash

What's up Fenway and Twisted!?!? It's been a while since I've really posted anything. Just been reading the boards lately. Still very upset that I can't make PJ20...

The update is, I will be in Boston on August 14th for the MMJ show!!! There was no way in hell I was going to miss out on another chance at seeing these guys live! I will be staying at the Seaport Hotel in Boston that night and plan on getting there early on Sunday. Would LOVE to finally meet you all! :D

Nice!!! Im staying at The Seaport too...we'll plan to meet up for sure!!

Have you stayed at the seaport before? I'm curious to see how it is. Seems like a classy joint and is really close to the venue. I plan on getting a good buzz going to rock the fuck out!!

Hoping for "War Begun" and "O the One that is Real"!

Yah...I stayed there last month for APC. Really nice place. Didnt actually get to experience any of their restaurants on site, or the pool (which claims to have underwater speakers :o ) but the rooms were nice and clean, flat screen tv's, mini fridge. One thing that caught me by surprise tho, was that they have NO VENDING MACHINES in the building...but there is a 24hr 7-Eleven across the street...so you may want to bring your own beverages and late night munchies. Also...they probably didnt tell you this (they didnt tell me when I made my reservation) that its $33 for overnight parking in their garage (which is pretty much the norm for Boston I guess). Also...the GPS didnt bring us right to the front entrance....it stopped right before the street corner...you actually have to go down that street (take a right down the street right after the GPS says you arrived) and the hotel main entrance is on your right. You'll see people parked there to check in and the valet guys outside (I had walked by the place a bunch of times in the past, so I had an idea of where I needed to be...) Also...they have a "no tipping" policy b/c all gratuities are included w/ the price of the room...so say hell yes to the door man taking your stuff up to your room!!

And bring the vaporizer...its a non smoking hotel ;)

Very helpful tips, thanks!! Seems like quite a lovely hotel. We plan on getting there pretty early on Sunday to walk around Boston a bit. Not sure how easy it will be to get to the main part of Boston but I'm sure we will make it work.

This sunday can't come fast enough! Can't wait to finally meet you all and I finally get to see My Morning Jacket live!

It's not bad from the seaport area. Short cab ride, depending where you're looking to go. Hopefully its a nice day and you guys can walk thru the Gardens and the Common.

After having a few days to digest the Indy concert, I've began to see this band in a whole new light. I knew they were good, but now they are on the same level as my all-time favorite bands like PJ, Soundgarden, Paw, NIN, etc.

Wow they put on an amazing show! They are a must-see whenever they tour near me from now on!

It's good to know that there are still bands that play music for music's sake.

can't be bothered reading past pages... who is going to see them in a couple weeks at the mann? I know I will be there and am pumped like nothing else... MMJ has really become gradually my favorite band over a period since it still moves was released.

What songs are people hoping for at the mann? for me strangulation and lay low would be a good show for me.
