yeah so did i. I don't really like the way they do memberships there. They don't remind you or anything that your membership expired.

How long has Gary Clark Jr been playing for? Early curfew in Portland tonight (10pm), so I'm hoping he starts right near 6pm and MMJ gets on stage by 7:30 or so. Potential for some pop up T-storms too. Looking for the weather gods to help us out tonight.
I think they try to save money for members during the years when they aren't touring much or when they don't have shows you can attend! Since seniority isn't used for Roll Call...you can buy your membership as soon as the tour dates are announced if there are shows you are interested in seeing.
I didn't buy my 2016 membership until September of that year because there weren't any MMJ shows I could attend.
I thought I might get a year off without a membership, but I broke down and bought one when the Jim James solo show in Louisville was announced to have access to the pre-sale tickets.
They are letting us use a credential that is almost 2 years old for the early entry program this year & I know in the past, they let people use their pass for One Big Holiday as well as the previous years' Roll Call credential to get in early!

Saw them on Saturday night in Charlotte and they once again delivered a wonderful live show. They never disappoint. We had pit tix so lined up early to get in and made friends with people around us (all who had the credentials). We had no idea about the early entry stuff so when asked for our credentials the folks around us just said we were with them and we were able to go in with them. Such a cool, chill group of fans that I suspect this isn't an isolated event.
Can't wait for Merriweather on Friday... bring on the thunderstorms!!!
Have a BLAST buddy... the setlist from the show in Maine last night looks GREAT!!! Starting to get stoked for the show at Forest Hills Stadium on Saturday... gonna be a FUN weekend in NYC!!

Really great show in Portland last night. Loved the Golden opener. Great run of Waterfall songs midway through the first set. And a solid encore. They are such a great live band. I wish more people came out to see them. But they are playing venues that fit who they are as a band (if that makes any sense). A what Washed said is right, such a super chill fanbase. We walked around quite a bit last night, taking it in from different spots. Nobody pushing or getting in the way. People just chilling out and giving you space. Such a fun night.

I really wanted to go, but these weekday/Sunday night shows have been tough this summer. Great music but always coinciding with my work schedule.

Just WOW... did they really open with Steam Engine tonight in Vermont?? It's cool to see TWTHS, First Light & Xmas Curtain played early in the set... AND when was the last time One Big Holiday closed the main set??? This show looks INCREDIBLE on paper, so I'm sure it was unreal in person!!

What times do you think GC Jr & MMJ will hit the stage Friday at Merriweather? Is MMJ really hitting the stage by 8:15 every night? I like an early start!!!
My cousin is going to the Baltimore show tomorrow night as well (as it seems a number of people on here are going to as well). I'm super jealous! It's going to be a great show (with a great opener).

They went on right at 8:15 in Cincinnati...and a little bit earlier in Cleveland, maybe 8:10 because they had a 10:30pm curfew there, still played to 10:45 though!! Everyone doing MPP...have a GREAT show...see you in NYC on Saturday if you're doing Forest Hills!!

First, I'm glad I got there early as MMJ came on a little after 740. Seemed like a 930 curfew. They played until 9:45.
Venue: if I lived in Vermont I would go to every show I could. I didn't deal with the parking lot after reading it is a nightmare getting out, and parked in the neighborhood adjacent which alot of people seemed to do.
On a sloping lawn, Great atmosphere, lots of lawn chairs, blankets, kids. Everyone has room and it seemed like I could have walked up to the stage as far as I wanted. Great crowd. Venue capacity is 3,000 and it seemed about that. About an hour in, the sun was going down and the views behind the stage are tremendous and the band started picking up steam.
Once inside, no merch line (imagine that PJ loyalists!). About 7-8 food trucks. No long lines really. The Skinny Pancake had a truck and I highly recommend if your in the Burlington area to check it out. Tasty.
Show: like I said 2 hrs, opened with Steam Engine, which I think had something to do with JJ later referencing the steam ship, before and during Wonderful, that is a part of the Shelburne Museum. He talked about seeing the ship and being startled by it. He wondered what aliens might think in thousands of years if they were to come upon it. He likened it to when he was a kid and saw a big bag of chips or something in a supermarket. Then during Wonderful he held the last note extremely long and it actually started to sound like a tugboat noise. So the museum certainly seemed to have an affect on him.
The A New Life>Tropics>State of the Art was a highlight for me.
All of the Circuital songs sounded amazing with First Light and Outta My System standing out. Both jams were noticeably shortened though.
This was about show 25 for me and I think it's the first with no covers, all MMJ.

Have fun in Maryland tonight. See u in NY
Ps- no tubes sold at the show.
