Drama, drama, at least get it right.
“Congress established the day in 1952 and in 1988 set the first Thursday in May as the day for presidents to issue proclamations asking Americans to pray.”
1. President Obama DID NOT cancel Prayer Day it is held every year. He signed the standing proclaimation recognizing National Prayer Day, but decided to skip the East Room event that became a standing practice with Bush, Jr.
2. Over the years people like James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family, with his wife, Shirley Dobson, chair of the National Day of Prayer Task Force have tried to turn this day into a conservative-Christain only observance. With GW Bush help, over the past 8 years, they have successfully sustained that mentality.
3. President Obama opted not to follow in GW Bush's footsteps, and decided not to have the East Room gathering at the White House on this Day and also, opted out of the breakfast sponsored by the Catholic church the following day.
3, President Obama's goal was simple - to allow people on National Prayer Day to pray where and as their faith dedicated. That's not acceptable or Godly enough for people like the Dobson.
With May 6 approaching, I guess we'll hear this same old Dobson song for another four weeks.SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. Our government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a law-breaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy. - Louis Brandeis0 -

but Hosted a Ramadan Dinner At the White House....but hey that’s just him....
Mind if I stimulate your short term memory - You forgot to mention that President Obama also
1) Hosted Christmas at the White House even had a Christmas dinner event.
--- The biggest celebration at the White House, including all the many, many events that lead up to Christmas.
2) Hosted Hanukkah at the White House even had a Hanukkah dinner event.
<>--- State Senator Terri Bonoff (DFL-Minnetonka) said today she is thrilled and honored
to attend the first White House Hanukkah celebration hosted by President Obama.
Sen. Bonoff and Sen. Dick Cohen (DFL-St. Paul) are among the roughly
500 Americans invited to the gathering, which will be held on Wednesday,
Dec. 16 at the White House in Washington, D.C.
So President Obama hosted a dinner for the so-called three major religions, Christianity, Judaism and Islam and that makes him a muslim. Go figure!!!
3. Yikes!!! What no Kwanzaa dinner, does that mean is he's not black?SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.0 -
Gimme posted this....and what is this shit with the governor of virginia declaring april as confederate history month and making no mention of the scourge of slavery? i give people the benefit of the doubt in most cases, but this guy would have to be a fucking moron to leave out mentioning the struggle over slavery that was a large portion of what they were fighting about. that would be like me declaring april iraq war rememberance month and conveniently leaving out we went to war under false pretenses based on a lie that iraq had wmds...
Which I responded with

Point being why does Gimmie expect this guy to add in slavery if he doesn’t want to.....just like Obama did not have to try and back all religions ....... maybe it was because he is Muslim....who the hell knows at this point since he has everything about him Sealed

thre are more just look for them...
also, you need to remember that "national day of prayer" is not exactly the most important thing for him to participate in. this is not an exclusively christian nation by the way, so the man can do what he wants. but if your church group wants to feel all disrespected because he did not participate yet hosted a ramadon dinner that is up to you...last i heard ramadon is a holy time for muslims that i dunno, probably involves some sort of prayer right??
you just confirmed my point National Day of Prayer was not important enough to him to participate but Ramadan was
I went to your source for hate groups ( I only got to one so far ) the splcenter link....now I understand were you think people that disagree with Obama are racist....anyway I researched one of the lawyers and came up with this....so I am discrediting that link due to bias....but I will check out the others....this is what I found on the splcenter
