I understand your selective parrot pattern, but could you at least, every once in awhile, come close to not sounding like you have lost the ability to think for yourself.
--First you say they didn't spit on these people.
--Now you are claiming it was unintentional because they didn't launch a hawker.
What an idiotic analogy.
It looked to me like the guy was hollering and maybe a little bit of spit come out while he was yelling. MSNBC ran wild with it from there. The congressman of course made it look like he was hit in the face with a brick. I think it was all unintentional.0 -

I am not a racist Gimmie. Even though I did not vote for Obama when he was inaugurated I sat down and I made my five year old daughter watch it and I explained to her that this was a moment in history not to be forgotten because it was the first time a black man has been elected president and I was proud of America for that reason. I understand there are alot of racist involved in the tea party but I believe it is a small amount and shouldn't shadow what most of the tea partiers are trying to accomplish. What you are basically saying is that if you do not agree with what Obama is doing then you're a racist if i'm understanding correctly. And also....I haven't been protesting by the way, I haven't been to one tea party. Not that i'm against it, just haven't been to one.0

and what is this shit with the governor of virginia declaring april as confederate history month and making no mention of the scourge of slavery? i give people the benefit of the doubt in most cases, but this guy would have to be a fucking moron to leave out mentioning the struggle over slavery that was a large portion of what they were fighting about. that would be like me declaring april iraq war rememberance month and conveniently leaving out we went to war under false pretenses based on a lie that iraq had wmds..."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

that last quote is right, yes there are people who are racist but we can't go to the other extreme and say that all or even most are racist. that is like saying that Holland is a country of thugs because some fight during a soccer game.0 -

As far as all the hate groups popping up suddenly, I feel it's something that has been building up over the years. People have always bitched and complained about the government and maybe all the spending they have done kinda pushed people over the edge. It just so happens that it happens to be during a black presidents tenure. The straw that broke the camels back sortaspeak. But, that's just me.0 -

What hate groups are you referring to?and what is this shit with the governor of virginia declaring april as confederate history month and making no mention of the scourge of slavery?
Yep it reminds me when President Obama distanced himself from the National Day of Prayer by nixing a formal early morning service and not attending a large Catholic prayer
but Hosted a Ramadan Dinner At the White House....but hey that’s just him....“We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.” Abraham Lincoln0 -

According to the indictment Hutaree (militia) was planning to use weapons of mass destruction. lol so either pipebombs are now considered weapons of mass destruction or ieds are which the gov in its indictment has admitted are based on the ones in iraq. whats stunning about this, is now we can come to the conclusion that indeed weapons of mass destruction were present in iraq. since the gov has admitted so in its indictment against Huturee.Post edited by aerial on“We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.” Abraham Lincoln0 -

also, you need to remember that "national day of prayer" is not exactly the most important thing for him to participate in. this is not an exclusively christian nation by the way, so the man can do what he wants. but if your church group wants to feel all disrespected because he did not participate yet hosted a ramadon dinner that is up to you...last i heard ramadon is a holy time for muslims that i dunno, probably involves some sort of prayer right??"You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

Don't you wonder why though? This nation was founded on Christian principles, not Muslim. His voting base is largely church attending Christians. Blacks and Hispanics are by a large percentage believers in God. The left whites may not attend to such a large percentage but he certainly has a much larger base of Christians than Muslims.
Bill Clinton was always in the news about attending services, I believe at a predominately black church as well, yet we never hear of Obama attending. At least I have not. With all of these rumors about Obama really being muslim, along with his continual denial of being Muslim, why is he not doing anything else to stop those rumors? Does he not have to, probably not. However why hide behind the truth?0 -

to both of you. you are unhappy because President Obama welcomed Muslims into the White House for Ramadam celebrations?
so what? did it bother you when Bush and Clinton did it too?
President Obama is not the first to welcome Muslims into the White House for Ramadan celebrations. In fact, it has been an annual tradition since 1996, when then-First Lady Hillary Clinton hosted a dinner during Eid al-Fitr, the three-day festival marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In 2001, President George W. Bush followed suit. Shortly after 9/11, he hosted the first White House Iftar dinner — the daily breaking of fast at sundown...0 -

My point is ...Obama claims to be Christian.....but cancels the National day of prayer....I don’t really care if Muslums come to the white house....but why dis the Christians.....
He is either
sucking up to Muslims

There's another possibility which you left off the list which involves some rational thought -
What if he is simply trying to give the impression to people all around the world that we accept all faiths and respect them equally?
Why is it that freedoms in our nation have become tools not to protect the use of, but instead ways to bolster opposition against? Free speech and freedom to practice religion (to name a few) aren't to merely protect your right to do so, but the other guys you may disagree with.aerial wrote:My point is ...Obama claims to be Christian.....but cancels the National day of prayer....I don’t really care if Muslums come to the white house....but why dis the Christians.....

I was watching a show last night dealt in strong terms about racism and class in the US and it just always makes me think. Two of the biggest issues which make our nation great are also always the elephant in the room no one likes to talk about because it pulls off the scab and strikes a nerve which cuts through so much of the nonsense people don't like to acknowledge in society and through our history.gimmesometruth27 wrote:clearly diversity is not supposed to be an american value...... :?CONservative governMENt
