  • My best PJ moment happened on Sunday 22nd November 2009 - my first ever PJ concert. It was the best day of my life and when they started Porch I couldn't hold back the tears.

Can't wait for my next best PJ moment!!!

So many moments for me. One standout was during my first PJ show in Perth last November. They way they played Love Reign O'er Me was so heartfelt and beyond emotional; it was like the last time Eddie would ever sing that song, and he owned every note.

The La Ola before the show in Berlin was pretty impressive - from that moment on I knew I was in for a special night. :)

It would have to be getting my Eddie pick on last Halloween. He pointed at me, I probably looked like a deer in headlights, a very confused deer, and tossed the pick. It landed short but the nice people around me knew who it was for- me! and handed it to me. That whole memory is so very special to me. I will never forget it.

Meeting the band and having some beers backstage in Camden in 06. Then Eddie gave me a tamborine autographed to me. Amazing night.

My girlfriend won send row centre lottery tickets at MSG #2 in '08 with her very high 10C number after I got shut out on the pre-sale (the only time I have ever been shut out).

BUT ... it is hard not to say that August 2, 2007 wasn't the best PJ moment I have experienced ... nothing will ever top that show.

Must be nice having a girlfriend with a high 10c number let alone in the ten club in general. How did you get so lucky :?: :?:
Let me clarify. But high I mean bad. I always refer to the better 10C numbers as "low" numbers ...

She wasn't in the 10C until she met me, which is why her number is high.

  • I've been to 13 shows and they have all been amazing, but I think my favorite Pearl Jam moment is the first time I heard Given To Fly. The local radio station had somehow gotten an advanced copy of the single and started playing it about a week before it was officially released. I remember driving and the DJ saying they were about to play a brand new Pearl Jam song. I pulled off the road into a grocery store parking lot and sat there and listened to it and I got goose bumps. They played that song about once an hour, and I when I made it home I was able to record it onto a casset tape. Since they were the only station in the area to have it they dubbed in the radio station's name so no other station would play it and it came on during the song every 20 seconds or so. So somewhere in my closet I have a casset with Given To Fly on it and you hear "The Buzz" throughout the song!
  • Waiting all day near the stage at Bonnaroo...and then hearing the first note of Hard to Imagine. It was the absolute, perfect PJ moment for me.

You would think it would be front row seats at Boston 06 #1 during Alive when Mike McCready was playing the guitar looking right at me for a while there. . .

but it was Philly 05 when I was way the hell in the back, and I saw a great mass of people chant as one to the songs. It was mind blowing to see so many fans in one place that are so devoted that they know the PJ chants. I don't even know that little chant stuff and I was probably in the tenclub longer. It was a feeling more gorgeous than hot pink.
