I have every right to raise questions about how this is run. There has to be a better way to do this. It's not something that will fix itself, in fact, it's getting worse. Either we can say that is unacceptable, or we can just go through the same thing over and over. My time is too important to me to spend six hours doing this again. I'd rather pay ticketmaster to handle the presale.------------------------------------------------------------
Too many shows to even begin to remember.

"If you're not happy with it, stop paying your $20. Persistence almost always pays off with 10c tickets. And besides, you whiners (yes, whiners) are making it sound like just because you got shut out of the ten club presale, you are destined to sit on the sidewalk outside msg. These 2 shows are gonna be my 46th and 47th PJ shows. Know how many presales I got shut out of? Not many, but a few. Know how many shows I've had 10 club tickets for? Every single one of them. And a few of them I've even been able to scrape up a few 10c seats for friends. The ten club never claimed the presales would be easy, but there arnt too many other bands that even give their fanclubs the opportunities that Pearl Jam does. And I, for one, am thankful for it!"
Shove it you self-righteous turd. You think you're going to score some brownie points with the band standing up for them like this. Are they going to read your post and think to themselves..."man, this guy gets us. Let's invite him to party after the show!" I agree, if you don't like it, than don't participate. But to call people "whiners" because they are speaking out against a clearly flawed process. Do you call your beloved Eddie a whiner when he rambles in the middle of shows about shit that nobody actually cares about. Don't get me wrong. I love the band and their music, but it just seems that over the past couple of years they have done some things that goes against what we all thought they were about. For example, putting their most loyal fans through this ticket ordeal. Or how about how they now add a service charge to their ticket prices!(the irony of that is unbearable) Why exactly does it now cost $150-$173 to attend a PJ show? I remember not too long ago when it was $70-$100. Not to mention the added cost of being forced to travel to BFN to see them because you couldn't get tickets to your local show. I personally could do without the string quartet or even Boom, if this sort of stuff is what's making the ticket costs soar. There used to be a benefit of being a Ten Club member. Plus, it definitely didn't cost $20 a year. And for what really?!? What have we really had better/more access to over the past couple of years that non-club fans have had. The last show I went to I was surrounded by non-club fans. It's not that the seats were bad, but if they were able to get the same seats for the same price(less of course the money I paid for the 10 club), wtf? And to the band and the people running this ticket racket, i have one thing WTF!?!?0 -

I'm talking people that worn born or raised here. If this happens next tour I'm done with buying tickets from the 10c and will get em from ticketmaster or a ticket broker. Least those servers won't crash and I won't get a temporarily out of stock for 4 hours. Also can ed stop with the hometown show act cause we all know that isn't true anymore. Your city is what it is because of the "Out of towners"
Kinda funny how you give people grief all day about the ridiculous threads, and then you start one of your own.

But u keep living in dat dream world
Thanks for the laughs people. Ill be laughing when I'm front row and there aint a damn thing anyone can do bout it on here. Yea I do have a few hookups but I feel its wrong of me to use them. So now just maybe I might just use them and be front row. Thanks for the laughs people as I sit here eating my green bagles and drinking my green guinness.
If you're in the front row, why would anyone want to do anything about it? You're a weird dude.0 -

If it makes the 400k + members feel any better, I will post my address and you can send me your $20 10C fee instead. I will put out a semi-annual magazine called "Shallow", and I will guarantee no chance to purchase tickets.

The out-of-towner argument is completely moronic. And you (and I) didn't get shut out of tickets because of the server. We just had to wait around for 5 hours to know that we did because of the server.2000: Camden 1, 2003: Philly, State College, Camden 1, MSG 2, Hershey, 2004: Reading, 2005: Philly, 2006: Camden 1, 2, East Rutherford 1, 2007: Lollapalooza, 2008: Camden 1, Washington D.C., MSG 1, 2, 2009: Philly 1, 2, 3, 4, 2010: Bristol, MSG 2, 2011: PJ20 1, 2, 2012: Made In America, 2013: Brooklyn 2, Philly 2, 2014: Denver, 2015: Global Citizen Festival, 2016: Philly 2, Fenway 1, 2018: Fenway 1, 2, 2021: Sea. "We are sorry you were unable to get tickets to the Boston show. Due to supply and demand we never guarantee tickets to all fan club members. As you can see all the tickets from yesterdays pre-sale are still on the site. There are difficult markets, and not so difficult markets so your situation is specific to the show you want to go to, and not a money making scheme. Boston, NY, and DC will all be this way due to the volume of tickets versus number of fans. There’s not a whole lot we can do about that. The server did not crash. Having more fans logged in than tickets available causes a bottleneck at the door.
We apologize that you live in an area of the country where this is the ticket sale norm and understand if you’d rather not renew and buy your tickets through Ticketmaster’s service only.

What would you prefer they say? Sure they could easily leave the last paragraph out but why are you even contacting them?0 -
I agree about the fact that it shouldn't take you 5 hours or more to realize that you don't get tickets but the amount of complaining wouldn't be less if the servers wers stable and those tix would be sold out in two seconds. Agree. I know the 10c is doing its best - its just very frustrating. My experience was the same as many on this board-- 6 hours of refreshing, hitting the buy button and getting shut out. i must have seen the buy button 10 times and it never panned out. Im still going to find a way to go to MSG. I wish they donated a few tickets to auction off for charity -- at least id feel better about shelling out the money im going to end up paying a broker (if it were going to a good charity).6/3/06 (East Rutherford 2)

"Our promise to do our darndest to get you the absolute BEST tickets in the house to Pearl Jam shows around the world. "
They did not do this. their darnest would've been setting up a better system. they did not
I'm not trying to pick on you man, but we don't KNOW anything about the club's finances or computer infrastructure. We, as 10c members, have no insight into their inner workings. The most "unfair" thing here is that we on this board trash the 10c every time there is a problem with online ticket sales or we get inconvenient tour dates or our x-mas single is late. Maybe they did do their absolute best and were constrained by powers they cannot fight, such as venue owners or massive ticket conglomerates or maybe one of the 10c staff's kids has cancer and they diverted some money to help them out rather than invest in some cloud computing. My point is we don't know, so we shouldn't judge so harshly.
As for the charity thing, yeah... it's not charity if we are don't choose to donate. That's a little uncool. I would be happier if the 3rd row was a charity raffle, or something along those lines.
They could just as easily raise the main ticket price and not tell you why, then donate your money. Either way it still goes to them.0 -
Iooks like i managed to get tixs for ny1 and i will be travellin over from Scotland .
I understand why people in NYC who didn't get tixs are pissed off since you live there but i feel i have as much right to be there as any other ten c member.

I for one have giving up trying to score tickets from 10C for Northeast shows, i had someone else try for me which I'm very thankful for and still had no luck so i really didn't expect to score any and i didn't but that was my choice I've never gotten tickets from 10C using the Internet never.Last time i scored tickets to MSG with my member # was in 03 and i don't believe that was from the Internet :?: ......Member since 93 will i stop renewing it no am i disappointed in the system hell yeah ...
27xxx....doesn't guarantee tickets at all ....jesus greets me looks just like me ....0 -
too many complaining threads, we all know the problem and it isn't exclusive to US shows. It took me 4 hours to get London 2006 tickets and Dublin and Belfast tickets were on sale at the same time with exactly the same problems. And yes, add me to the list who spent from 16.00pm to 2.00am trying for tickets and got nothing despite trying to checkout more times than I remember
WE NEED A PETITION SO 10C UNDERSTAND THIS IS NOT ALL THE SAME PEOPLE COMPLAINING ON MANY THREADS.
I want to know how other Ticket Sites can put tickets on sale at the same time for 5 different acts at numberous venues around the country amounting to 100,000's of seats but they don't make you wait 6+ hours to get through the transaction.Manchester 2000. Leeds 2006. Wembley 2007
