Thats just straight up a stupid comment. No one is expecting that. And you guys are a VERY vocal minority.
Not anymore. The ratio of pissed to not pissed has clearly swung to the pissed majority and you are blind if you don't see that. Even people who didn't try for tickets are ticked off with the way things are going around here. This thread is for people mad....you aren't mad so why are you still posting? Seems as though your intention is to piss people off more.0 -
you guys are tools. its not the fan clubs fault that people who aren't going to shows log in and put tickets in their carts to see if they can and people who are undecided doing the same and holding them in their carts. Its obvious that these people are the ones to blame, they clog up the system unnecessarily, 10c made an effort to curb this with the 10 minute rule and it obviously didn't work as well as they had hoped, but it was the first time this rule was in place, give it some time. blame the idiots doing these things, not the fan club.{if (work != 0) {

Worked fine for me. I stayed patient and dealt with them being in my cart and not being able to get through checkout. An hour and a half later it finally went through. If you didn't get them in your cart right away you were too late. That's what I think. If you never had them in your cart you never were getting them, bottom line. 200,000 people going for 12,000 tickets at the same time gives you less than a 5% chance of getting them, especially in Philly, Boston or NYC. This doesn't happen anywhere else. If you try for CT tickets today you will not have a problem. I got shut out of 2 Spectrum shows and the Borgata Eddie show. It's just the way it is when the supply is less than 5% of the demand. People get shut out. If they were in your cart and you didn't have patience enough to stick with it, that's your fault.Post edited by RedMosquito22 onMember 164xxx

My intention is not to piss people off. My initial intention of my first post in this thread was to tell everyone to take a step back, take a breath, relax, and realize that when there is a will, there is a way. Just because the presales are sold out and over, doesn't mean you still cant get a tenclub ticket. I usually get one to at least one show on every tour after the presale is over. You people need to realize that its not the end of the world.0 -

I think you're missing the point. I think the anger isn't even about not getting tickets. Its about wasting A LOT of time to find out they're not getting tickets. I've taken your side on this issue in the past, but after wasting hours with a "Temporarily out of stock" message popping up, I"m angry and have every right to be. It should not take 4 hours to let us know that aprox. 1755 pairs of tickets are sold out in 2010. That's just unacceptable.0 -

Yes, the system sucks...on the one day every few years that NYC tickets go on pre-sale (sometimes Philly and Boston can be problems as well, but it's obvious that NYC/MSG is the real issue). Otherwise, there's no problem with the system from a technical point of view.
So they can deal with that one of 2 ways:
1) rationalize that the system is not worth changing (obviously an increase in costs, not sure how much) for the one day every few years that is problematic.
2) realize the problem is so bad, there is a need to have a seperate system JUST for NYC pre-sales (especially for tours that have limited # of dates, no south and west venues).
if they opt for #2, I'm not sure what their options are. have an old-school mail-in lottery? I guess, but wouldn't people complain about that too (still in the stone ages, not knowing for weeks if you got tix)? could they contract out to a vendor like TM or LiveNation? how would they deal with that in terms of keeping it just to 10C members? only option would be a password, which would of course be a disaster. could they rent a heavy-duty / super-bandwith server for that ONE day (or even the whole pre-sale week)? is that even possible in terms of availability? and if so is it cost-effective?
with all the issues #2 presents, they probably just go with #1 and say, we know this is gonna be a bad day for us. but we do our best, keep a good number of our most loyal fans from having to go the TM route, get them good seats and keep tix prices relatively low for them.
I guess a statement from them saying as much would be nice though.0 -
for those who didnt get tix go on ticketmaster on fri get ur tix on there and unless u have a grt senrty num u will probly have better seats it has work for me numerous times i do agree i never had seen where u wld have tickets rdy to chkout and it expires ridculous ten club0

true that i am done with this stuff. I remember a time when PJ wasn't really trying to be that popular. We diehards mailed our ticket requests to ten club and got every show we wanted and i used to go to 8 shows a tour.now this, two tours straight we get boned when it comes to the msg. Im not renewing my membership.0

Mine was 6:00 - 9:53, 3 hours and 53 Minutes. To say they were "Sold Out". If you don't see a problem with this, then I don't even know what to tell you.0 -

The problem is (it's a good thing when you get tickets) 10 Club gets virtually every single good seat so if we don't want to sit in nosebleeds we pretty much HAVE to be a member and have to go through these server nightmares.0 -

Sad fact . . . . a lot of 10C members logon using multiple computers . . . .
Their are also a lot of 10C members that are scam artists . . . multiple memberships (brother, sister, uncle, etc) . . . having 10C tickets to a show but trying upgrade their location by saying they don't have 10C tickets. There is a group of gals that always find some willing partner to split a pair of 10C tickets in a better location than their own 10C seats. I just have to laugh at these people . . . pathetic.
I know a 10C member in Florida that works in an IT department and uses his staff to run 6 computers with 3 memberships (himself, mom, and brother) to buy tickets to NYC shows.
There is a segment of 10C members that are kind of slimy.0
