If Columbus is rumored, State College is rumored. Thats Ohio State U. and Penn State U., maybe a small college campus tour? Just a thought.
Small college? Really what you want to say?
Penn State's stadium seats 107,282. Largest in the Western Hemisphere and third largest in the world.
Ohio Stadium seats 102,329. Ohio State University is one of the largest colleges in the country (goes back and forth between them and Texas) in terms of enrollment.
I think he or she meant small tour of colleges, not a tour of small colleges.
hopefully they play Cleveland. Cleveland crowds are better than Columbus- no offense, but it's a fact
i have seen PJ in 4 cities in Ohio and a PJ crowd is typically a PJ crowd regardless of city.
I'm from Columbus, and I agree that C-Bus crowds have sucked in the past - but not just for PJ, and it's not the crowd's fault. After all, it's not like columbus residents are inherently less rock-n-roll than cleveland folks. The problem was Polaris Ampitheatre sucked ass!! The local noise ordinances were so strict, they couldn't play loud or long! I hated that place, so glad it's gone. Saw DMB there twice, you could barely hear the music. Horrible.
so my point is, i'm excited to see them at NW arena! Gonna kick some ass.
I think the answer would have been to start with the Buzzcocks at 6 PM and PJ from 7:30 to 11. Those guys (buzzcocks) were LOUD! Then again, I had 10C seats (number 279XXX) so they weren't super-close, but they were under the roof.

Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"
Article about Veteran's Auditorium in Columbus. Basically, the people that run it are just trying to figure out what to do with it now that the landscape of the area has changed.
Watch..they will demolish the Vet and build that casino there.
The problem in Columbus is there is no shortage of venues for a band to play at. Why play at the Vet when you have Nationwide, The Schott, LC, ect... not to mention stadium tours can do either Ohio Stadium or Crew Stadium. Plenty of places to see bands around here...they just need to attract more decent bands!
The casino will be further out of downtown. The people voted to have it downtown, now they want to revoke that for some reason....so Vets will be there for the time being :-)
The casino was supposed to be just west of Huntington Park, which is just west of Nationwide Arena. Because the original casino issue was a state-wide vote, there is going to be another state-wide vote on moving it to the west side.

Yeah, let's just go with that.

Eddie is from Chicago (very originally.) I can't see them doing Evanston when Chicago is right there.
he's actually from Evanston, not Chicago proper.
Yeah, you're right.
Still... a bigger venue (United Center, anyone?) = more tickets sold = good thing for fans and band.
you're missing the point. the discussion was that IF they are doing a small tour of college campuses (specifically Big 10) then Northwestern would make sense. no one is saying it's going to happen. it was just a theory based on some of the rumors swirling (Columbus, Indy, Penn, etc.).

and then they go to south bend and announce that Notre Dame is joining the big ten during an encore.

My point was that "small tour of college campuses" is entirely different from "small college campus tour" which was what was originally written.
