I'm sure this made sense when you typed it.

so, asking our representitives not to allow us to be butt fucked by corporations is asking for a 100% blindly liberal state of affairs?

theres no compromise where there could be an agenda of basic fairness?

If you were being sarcastic I apologize btw.

    What is "basic fairness".

Anyone who has the slightest notion that our human lives here on earth have ever been, are now, or will ever be anything even remotely resembling fair is delusional.

Absolutely correct, but with that said, it doesn't give people, governments or business's the right to screw over everyone and thing in sight either.

wow, a new low for you. who knew you had any farther to fall.

So I suppose you think companies should pay 75 cents an hour and work workers to death, right? I mean, life is not fair right, I mean they weren't born rich right? so...fuck em!

I also assume you support getting rid of child labor laws because they are just interfering with commerce. hey, if you weren't born rich...go FUCK yourself. life's not fair right

you see the way it used to work is we elect people to represent us, they make laws to PROTECT us from the corporations. Ohhh, but that's socialism! Respect for the value of workers, the contribution to a company. That's fairness

I got more, but I don't want to get banned by the likes of you.

I can't believe we are lumping in "I starved to death in the wilderness" with " I starved to death in the richest country in the world because billionaires took all the jobs to a foreign country".

    it's truly game over.

Who said this? I think it is "game over" when you so easily defend corruption and greed in the name of helping, development and improvement.

I took knows answer to be

unfair: died of undetectable cancer at the age of 18

also unfair: died of cancer because i could not afford what every other civilized country provides because a company didn't want to lose profits.

shit does indeed happen (especially when someone intentionally makes it happen)

This is a good start to a better discussion. The almost complete majority of us would not want to live in either a 100% socialist country or a 100% laissez faire capitalist society (no roads, military, public lands parks, etc.). We need the best of both systems and we need the best of people in the government.

Wow - where did you get all that from my two sentences about fairness?

I was pretty clear in what I said, but I didn't make mention of anything you're citing above.

Anytime I hear anyone mention something about fairness, I know that the rest of what they are saying is likely to be horribly misguided.

If life was even meant to be fair, then we'd all be the same height, weight, have the same parents, live in the same place, etc., etc., etc.

That is all I was saying and nothing else.

in my opinion as long as it takes for these people to find work or be trained to find work in a different field. what is your suggestion?

I think as long as the government is stealing from its citizens through corporate bailouts, the military industrial complex and similar, I do not care how long we have people on unemployment.

There has to be an end, there always has. Otherwise you are simply on another form of welfare.

Isn't a neverending payment cycle to people not working also a version of stealing from the tax paying citizens. I was and am opposed to any of the bailouts and the wars and financial support of the military.

My answer is that we need to stop extending them at the same timeframe they always have ended them. Just because more people are unemployed is a reason to keep extending the benefits?

What the government should be doing is creating jobs, not paying people not to work.
