    Of course it makes sense. We are burning 18 million on Zito, a guy who didn't make the 2010 playoff roster. What's the big deal with burning 11 more million?

    Also, we didn't win a world series because we left our young talent on the bench, I.e. Posey, Bumgarner. We won a world series because we left our has been (Zito) on the bench and because our pitching was better than everyone else's ;)

    Huff is turning into that has been, but Belt can't seem to hit in the majors so it's a toss up

    best case scenario, huff plays well enough to start all year (it is an even numbered year :lol: ) and belt gets playing time at 1B and in the outfield a minimum of 3x a week.

    I had season tickets in VB310 from 2000-2006. this is when I was living in vegas :shock:

    you upstairs or down? I like up....the views outside the park are great....especially when mccovey cove used to be full, waiting for a bonds' HR.

    That's what we figured. Have some beers in our seats and watch the beginning of the game with the view then take a walk around the park and hang out. Can't wait.

    I still don't understand why Huff and Pill are being considered ahead of Belt. Huff's contract shouldn't factor into his playing time (especially at 35 years old and coming off a bad year) and Pill is about 27 years old and doesn't have the same potential as Belt (although he did perform well in a small sample last year). Considering the state of the Giants' offense you'd think they'd want to let the kid play and see how he does. He's not exactly struggling this spring.

    everybody who's anybody agrees with you....except for maybe sabean and bochy. bochy loves his veterans....to a fault. That said, I'm hoping aubrey can rebound and perform well in an even numbered year (as he has in the past)....if he doesn't tho, he needs to find a place on the bench and the giants need to forget about his contract.
