Cannot believe the amount of outrage because of my opinions on AC/DC.
I have been labeled a 'whiney toe rag emo' and deemed mentally ill and ball less with no musical taste.
I wonder why these people continually bash Nickelback an Creed then?
Are they mentally ill to?
Do they need balls or are they emos as well?Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140 -

Most probably right
To be honest, if someone said 'lets go and see them live, I'll buy you the ticket', even though I don't listen to them, I'd probably go - it would probably be a lot of fun.<a href="http://s952.photobucket.com/albums/ae8/catkinson_2009/?action=view¤t=domo.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i952.photobucket.com/albums/ae8/catkinson_2009/domo.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>0 -
I wouldn't consider myself a fan but I saw them in Melbourne a few days back and so glad I did.One for each day, since I fell apart0

Almost BUT NOT quite the same thing on a Rush site I visit. I post there with a Pearl Jam avatar just like I post here with a RUSH avatar. They kid me about the Pearl Jam stuff but it's all in fun, maturity and respect. None of this I hate or dislike or can not stand, the fans there are music fans and respect the fact that others WILL like and prefer other music. I gather that maybe due to the fans there are mostly of a mature age. I'm not sure but it seems that way.
Also IF one of them tore into Pearl Jam I would defend them based on what the beef was just like fans here of WILL for AC/DC. Thoughts-Arrive I believe you would expect that you would defend PJ also, as a majority here have said they're fans of AC/DC. I'm sure you would defend PJ based on whatever was said about the band, everyone has their particular tastes whether it's Creed-Winger and you have your right to NOT like them. However keep in mind they will be plenty that will like them, or have seen them live, waited on them to serve them food (ME) or just like their mindless fun loving music for these last 40 years. Hell man in South Florida THEY STILL play a dance/video mix of *You Shook Me All Night Long* at Club Sahara that continue to rock to this very day.
Peace

Baby Angus shook me all night long
Peter Familari From: Herald Sun February 16, 2010 12:00AM
Rocking on: New parents Sam Williamson and Jason Mitchell with son Jack.
IT'S a long way to the cot if you wanna rock'n'roll.
Midway through AC/DC's song Thunderstruck at Etihad Stadium, first-time mum-to-be Sam Williamson was hit with a series of contractions.
But Sam, of Drouin, was determined to hang on to the end of the show before a hasty 95km drive to her local West Gippsland Hospital.
"Not even baby was going to stop me seeing AC/DC. I love them to death and I wasn't going to miss all their performance for anything," she said.
Her partner, Jason Mitchell, said of the contractions at Saturday night's gig: "They got really bad halfway through the show, during Thunderstruck and Hells Bells."
"We drove from the stadium straight to the hospital in Warragul, express all the way," said Sam.
But unlike that other Angus, Jack Angus decided against an immediate wailing entrance - and didn't finally emerge until 10.30am on Sunday.
"We'll remember Angus going crazy on stage while baby Angus was putting in quite a performance off stage," she said.0 -

some times i wonder if the mature factor does indeed come into play on these types of comments/threads. i mostly have a hard time with people saying something is shit if they don't back it up as to why. i also have a hard time with people not giving artists the respect that they do in fact deserve. in the end i think it's just more important to MOVE ON and if you don't dig it then fine, but why dwell on music that you don't like? turn me on YES but turn me off? NO. THANKS
it's kinda like when eddie disses on music he doesn't like. i generally have a hard time with that. especially coming from someone who knows how sacred and personal music is...it just seems wrong to me when he does that.
u can not like acdc all you want, but, u gotta give some respect, when it's due. i was 12th row floors on this latest tour, and i had a great time at the show. great fun UP band.
but, maybe, ya had to be there to fully get it...but i can imagine that of the 2 shows, 60,000 per show, that most left with a smile, exactly like me.0 -

You can bet they leave with a smile, my daughter and her significant friend nad his mother did. maybe an ear ache but their last tour was absolutely the best of ALL the tours I've seen. Lots of fun laughter, the devil horns women wore the leather outfits, my fiance in Florida wore her pink cycling AC/DC shirt and had a ball. Grant you she just loves going out and going out to see a band with me even though she mosly into Hip Hop. She took me to see Jay Z and Mary j Blige and I felt out of place but enjoyed the show and her wonderful company. Not my main music but i respect what she likes and just music in general.
Not all of their (AC/DC) albums have been great some sucked but I can say the same for RUSH and Pearl Jam but I respect the art of music. Some of it works and some of it fails but they keep making modern music cause some out there WILL continue to love it.
