I cannot stand ACDC

Yes, I cannot stand them.
Their music all sounds the same, their lyrics are just cheap, the singers voice shits me, sounds like he is constipated and is trying to push one out. All repetitive, no moving forward with their music.
Their music is totally uninspiring and does not provoke any thought other than the thought of them sucking.
And their fans are all a bunch of feral tough guy, ute driving, tradesman, bullying type bogans here in Australia who hang around pubs hanging for a fist fight.
One of the biggest bogans (who is a bully to me and others) at my work is a big ACDC fan and went to their show, why does it not surprise me that he is a ACDC fan?
And one final thing, the Aussie media should stop labeling them an 'Aussie Band'.
They are born and bred Scots/Englishmen who do not even live in Australia and haven't for years.
Rant over, fuck you ACDC and your fans.
I hope your next two Melbourne shows are canceled so your brainless feral bogan legion of fans can go the pubs around Melbourne to blow of some steam and have a biff.

Don't know what kind of overseas fan ACDC attracts, are they bogans, are they as you would say in the US....jocks?

  • AC/DC has made the same song 188 times. It's an awesome song, so I don't care.

Now grow a pair and show some respect.
It is time to admit that we used to rock like hurricanes. It is time to run for the hills and go round and round. It is time for us to shout at the devil. We've got the right to choose it, there ain't no way we'll lose it, and we're not gonna take it anymore.

  • I hear your frustrations about ACDC......they have just toured here in NZ and people were talking about them being the best band in the world......HELLLOOOOOO? They are so one-dimensional it is ridiculous.

To even talk about them in the same breath as PJ to me is an outrage.
  • I like them, there's a time and place for them.

It's blues based bar-band rock, it's all they do and they do it well. Ac/DC isn't out there to do songs in crazy time signatures or change your perspective on the meaning of life, they're there to get you pumped up and have fun.

I don't really care about their fans, and not really hung up on where they're from.

No one's forcing you to listen.

Don't like em? Change the channel.

Stop wasting time bitching about music you don't like and try and turn people on to music you do like.

This goes for all the people that hate Creed. or Chris Cornell, or anything else. Just stop hating.

People who bitch about music they don't like sound ridiculous.

    It's fucking music.

    As Angus Young said
"People think we have made the same album eleven times, well they are wrong. Its twelve"
They dont try and be something they are not, they have a winning formula, you may not agree with it but millions of others do, caught them recently myself excellent show, lots of fun and really typical AC/DC

Hate is a very strong word I'm sure you could find something constructive to rant about.

For some reason they have been around for almost 40 years now. When PJ reaches that mark HOLLA Back.

If you've listened to the Bon Scott era and Back In Black and can't hear that ACDC IS one of the greatest rock bands ever, you're the one with the problem, and you may wanna get medical help.

98% of all rock bands do one thing and do it well, but nobody does anything as good as ACDC does theirs.

i agree, but i can stand them. I've never really listened to them much as they are so same, but back in black is a top album.

You know not all ACDC fans are ute driving, fist fighting bogans.. i happen to love ac/dc very much and i own a shitty hyandui accent and have never been in a fight in my life so your assumption of all ac/dc fans is a bit off.

And agree that Bon Scott era was WAY better then Brian Johnson era but its still awesome.

My older lil' bro and dad are big, big fans. :D And hey, they're good people. :P

I don't listen to AC/DC at home, but I don't turn them off on the radio or run out screaming if their songs are played in bars or whatever. I quite like a few songs.

And as mentioned, the Bon Scott era stuff is top notch.

  • I can't stand them either. I even went to see them once since everybody said they're great live (and because my girlfriend at the time wanted to go)...but it did nothing for me. Maybe if everybody around me wasn't an annoying retard I might have had some fun...

I can't believe they've managed to survive 30+ years and STILL call themselves AC/DC with this poser Brian on lead!

I hope your avatar doesn't allude to the fact that you've followed Van Halen through all their incarnations, because this quote would be quite hypocritical if that were the case.

Or, perhaps you just liked Better Off Dead.

    (a) My comment was sarcastic and geared to anyone who has issues with current bands who carry on after their bandmate offs themselves via drugs, drink or the party lifestyle in general.

    (b) Van Hagar was good for what it was... and a big part of my adolescence, so no complaints here. Van Cherrone and Van Halen, the Second and Third Comings, are jokes in my opinion and do not qualify under point (a).

    (c) The avatar fits the user name, no?

    (d) Gee, I'm really sorry your mom blew up, Ricky, guess she won't be able to eat any spicy foods for awhile.

I love ACDC. Sure a lot of the songs are similar but they rock as hard as anyone half their age. Back in Black is a great album, one of the best rock albums EVER, actually. I saw them last summer and had a blast at their show. Angus is more energetic than any guitarist I have ever seen and I dare you to find someone as energetic as him. his solo during Let There Be Rock was unlike anything I have ever seen.
