Grateful Dead, since the 70s and all the way up until we lost Jerry.

Now it's just not the same.

Pearl Jam since I first heard them in the very early 90s.

Not the same sort of music, but the same family feeling :)
    peace,

Before PJ I had no favorite band really. I was 35 so in my late twenties early thirties I was listening to all the eighties stuff but also my teen favorites like Zeppelin, Alan Parsons, Joe Cocker, Supertramp, Janis Joplin.
As far as 80's I liked Talking Heads, Madonna, Robert Palmer,McCartney, Chris Isaak, Cher.
  • born in 80...as a young kid I loved Duran Duran...then got into Beasties and the late 80's hair bands, Poison, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Def Lepard, and some Run DMC. I think that accurately sums up what I was listening to when I was 10

    The Smiths

I also think a pj cover of a song such as the queen is dead would be quite interesting...

  • I was definitely still in my hip hop phase. Thankfully, PJ & AIC pulled me out of it.

I'd prob say Public Enemy was my fave at the time.

Midnight Oil, sadly they faded away with some ordinary stuff at the end but still one great band & ever better live. I think PJ took over their mantle as a band to speak out against the very bad things in the world. Let the song protest sums them up i think.

My fave band is Led Zep, still. But I discovered them a few years after Pearl Jam emerged.

For a while, Radiohead was probably 2nd. Avocado & Backspacer have brought PJ back to #2.

Ten came out when I was 14. My tastes hadn't really developed as yet.

Well... being born in '81 my influences were from my parents record collection...

so... Creedence Clearwater Revival and Bruce Springsteen were probably my faves...
