  • the rolling stones...love me some mick and keith 8-)
  • I was definitely still in my hip hop phase. Thankfully, PJ & AIC pulled me out of it.

I'd prob say Public Enemy was my fave at the time.

Midnight Oil, sadly they faded away with some ordinary stuff at the end but still one great band & ever better live. I think PJ took over their mantle as a band to speak out against the very bad things in the world. Let the song protest sums them up i think.

  • fave "band" ?

too limiting. there have been many

i've been a fan of all rock music since for as long as i can remember. the only band i stopped liking is the doors...i just cant listen to any doors these days for some weird reason. oh well
  • My fave band is Led Zep, still. But I discovered them a few years after Pearl Jam emerged.

For a while, Radiohead was probably 2nd. Avocado & Backspacer have brought PJ back to #2.

Ten came out when I was 14. My tastes hadn't really developed as yet.

    still incredible
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a

I liked PJ in 91 when alive and evenflow were getting playtime. but I didn't really love them til I saw them live in 96. That said, my fave band prior to PJ had to have been Sublime

Springsteen - started with Born in the USA in 1984 but quickly old Bruce became my favorite - the Live 1975-1985 album was epic - until PJ came along Bruce was the absolute tops for me.

Def Leppard - absolutely loved Pyromania. Was early high school years. Played this album everyday for like a year and a half. Hysteria was ok but was over them by that point once Bruce kicked in.

I first saw Bruce in 1977 and went to the show thinking he was all hype, but came out a believer...his shows were much different back then. For me, his shows today feel more like a vegas revue...too many people on the stage!! Back in the 70's and 80's he had a tight "band"

After PJ, I probably saw Springsteen the most, something like 15 times

i was fortunate enough to have alot of friends in bands when growing up in the early 90's .....i was into Long Island HARDCORE (lihc) music.. went to millions of shows all over LI and NYC .... SILENT MAJORITY ..INSIDE ..VOD... warped webble wobbles ...orange 9mm ...wellwood carbon ..was good friends with a few guys of Taking BACK Sunday.. ETC ETC.... some say the lihc scene in the early 90's was just as big as the seattle grunge sound ...but the only thing was all the bands back then never wanted to become big and famous

if your ever looking for some new music / old music .. check out SILENT MAJORITY ... one of the best UNSIGNED BANDS EVER .... they toured the world back in 94-96 ..at the same time my buddy tommy lead singer NEVER WANTED TO BE BIG .. he only wanted to play shows at VFW halls and bars ...he was all about the kids and all ages shows at 4pm in the after noon :lol::lol::lol: .....

    silent majority LPs
based on a true story .....from itunes....A MUST ...
