I'm just wondering whether your judgment against Catholicism is an Evangelical or a Charismatic one... they tend to believe they are 'real Christians'. As a matter of fact, Evangelicalism is just a 300 year old off-shoot of Catholicism.'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

Okay, I'll bite... so you're saying Jesus made up a story about a guy who had excellent morality even though he wasn't a Christian? Sounds to me like Jesus knew you could be a good person all on your lonesome. He's teaching that we all have the potential to be good, only some of us can be good on our own, others need to be taught.
Ah, I love the Bible and all those stories that never happened. Many of them are excellent. Just a shame people don't view the Bible like they do the work of Dickens or Tolstoy. Just good old stories...Are you a screenwriter?

Surfing and guitar take a long time to learn but it's worth it. Very rewarding. Are you a screenwriter?

as far as Ed worship goes some people are admirers and some are dick riders.I always liked Ed from day one! we agree on a lot of things(based on his "rants")
he likes B-ball,he tokes now and then,he has a great sense of humor and he just happen to be responsible for some of the most important music in my life(music being very near and dear to me)
do i care what wine he drinks?no,but i'd share a swig and check it out.
do i care what jeans he wears? fuck no.
do i adjust my train of thought to coincide with what he thinks? hell no.i doubt we'd see eye to eye on everything but we do agree on the most important (like freedom)
we "grew up together" and evolved with age/time.and even if i didn't agree with one word that came out of his mouth i'd still love his music.but where i do agree with a lot of what he says it just makes my bond to this band even stronger.
will i vote for Obama, fuck no! i know better and if Ed gave me his ear for a while,i think i may be able to convince him not to vote for Obama either.(if he in fact he supports Obama,i have not seen anything that solidifies this "rumor")0 -

He's teaching that other people are in God's favour, not just the Jews, and often the people his hearers would least expect.. the Samaritans were enemies of the Jews.'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. I agree about the guitar part. I've never surfed so I don't really know.0 -

you need to do some serious education. No use in discussing with you when you have no clue of what you talking about. Just childish logic you apply here, read some christian theology if you are intersted in Jesus message and meaning.0 -

no i don't subscribe to Evangelicalism. I meant Roman Catholicism is really intertwined with the Babylon mystery religion & Paganism.
there is a book written in the 1800's called "the tale of two Babylons"check it out,you can find it on the net.it explains a whole lot about what i'm talking about.
one example is Easter.Easter is supposed to be about Christ so where do the eggs and bunnies come from? well it's actually because around the same time of year pagans pay homage to a fertility goddess. The name "Easter" originated with the names of an ancient Goddess and God.Yet in Catholicism where they are supposed to follow the Bible, the Bible says
“I am the LORD your God…You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God” (Exodus 2:2-5).
through "blind faith" people have been tricked into worshiping things they don't understand. same goes with Christmas and on and on i could go.
as i Christian i take it literal and (try) to follow the gospel of Christ.ya know "do onto others as you would have them do onto you." etc. etc.0 -

Big Man...for a nonbeliever to do that...he/she would have to be open minded.
yikers...
On another note...I'd like for a person guided by "science" and "science" alone to explain to me why only 1 species out of millions and millions on this planet evolved to the level of thought and reason we have? B/c the argument of, "it just happened that way" seems pretty dumb to me.0 -

Classic quote. Thanks, but I think my education is just fine.
I guess I could always learn more about the Bible and read it again. Or I could re-read the Mr. Men books.
Hey, Crazy Breed. Ed is voting for Obama. Unless I imagined the giant banner his crew carried across the stage behind him at the LA show...Are you a screenwriter?

Because random selection is just that: random.Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.0 -

Didn't mean to make you think I was accusing you of being an Evangelical, I'm just so used to hearing the two camps call each other 'not real Christianity'.
Most of this post I agree with.. however, I'm not sure whether the Easter Bunny, Easter eggs or Christmas trees are the Catholics' fault. That's good ol' secular shopping culture.

Natural selection. Look into it.
Earlier another guy talked of the mathematical impossibility of natural selection. Another retarded creationist argument. Trying to gauge the odds of something by looking BACKWARDS is obviously going to create astronomical odds, but that's not how it works.
If any of you seek the real answers to these questions, they are out there. You simply need to read real science books and not listen to opportunist dickheads like Ray Comfort or Pat Robertson. Are you a screenwriter?

Random: without definite aim, purpose, method, or adherence to a prior arrangement; in a haphazard way
Would one species specifically evolving to our level out of millions of others actually be random? Seems like the opposite of random to me.0 -

man wasn't supposed to have all the answers,we are not Gods even though we are created in his image.
that's why scientists are atheists, their egos can't handle not being able to explain or know how, where, what & why about everything.:D
face it,there are somethings beyond us that no one will ever understand or have full knowledge of.0 -

you put my quote out of context. You know well that I was refering to your Jesus quote, which was obviously stupid. I said dont talk about stuff you have no idea about. It makes you look silly.0
