and not to mention "movie stars" who are paid incomprehensible sums of money
to pretend they are someone else when people are literally starving.
So what happens if in three months or three years or sometime in the near future, Jay (pushing 60 I believe) has a stroke or heart attack and dies or is unable to do the show? Is it possible that Jimmy Fallon could be the host of the Tonight Show? I think NBC should just cancel it rather than allow that to happen.

Somehow I don't think NBC has a game plan for replacing Leno now. This move has cost NBC a pile of $$$$. I wouldn't be surprised that they go outside the network again.

Perhaps- but I wonder if NBC's treatment of this situation is going to turn off the other late night talent on the other networks- ie Jimmy Kimmel and Craig Ferguson.
In other words- "Welcome to the Tonight Show with Carson Daly!"
Or- let's get real crazy- any chance John Stewart or Steven Colbert would leave their unbelievably popular gigs for an iconic show like the Tonight Show?
