Wow. That is bad. Let's not forget we lost our best starting pitcher and traded away our young, up and coming closer who had a very team-friendly contract. Fuck.

One of the better left handed set-up guys in the league. The closer experiment already failed with him once....why the fuck would they try it again?!?!?!? Ahhh this team drives me fucking crazy.

    David Schuster reports:

Jake Peavy told us that he's as healthy as he can be. The rest was left to interpretation.

They will be lucky to be middle of the pack this year. I haven't been this down on the White Sox in a long, long time.

Oh shit...baseball season is finally here. Prediction for the Sox everyone??

I'm going with 78-84. 3rd place in the Central. I really hope I am wrong, but the Sox need 1/3 of their lineup to bounce back from terrible seasons (Dunn, Rios, Beckham), a couple of unproven players to exceed expectations (De Aza, Viciedo) and a few young guys in the bullpen to produce (Reed, Jones, Santiago, Stewart). I just can't see all of that happening. Oh yeah, and don't forget Peavy. He just needs to shut the fuck up and stay healthy.

But either way, he'll still make $14 million this season.

Yeah, that was pretty amazing what happened last year. While I blame Kenny Williams for a majority of the mess that is the White Sox right now, I cant blame him for signing Dunn. Dunn did have a decent spring so hopefully he can turn it around this season. If not, that is going to be one of the worst contracts in the history of sports.

I like De Aza leading off
I think Dunn would have to do better than last year. Hopefully a lot better.
Paul will put up decent numbers as usally
    AJ will be average
Rios, Alexia and Gordon need to bring it this year if we are going to do anything.

Pitching staff is a bunch of 500 guys but someone needs to step up to be a true number one because right now we have 2 twos, 2 fours and a one that always gets hurt.

Bullpen- I have no idea what to make out of this bunch.

    Should be an interesting year.

    GO SOX!!!!!

Same old story with this team. No one can get a clutch hit when they need it. And Ventura not naming a closer yet and saying he will play the matchups??? What a fucking dope.

He hasn't officially named a closer. Said he;s playing the matchups for now. The Thornton as closer experiment was a disaster last year. He's one of the best LH setup guys in the league....why fuck around with it?

Just flipped on the game in the 4th.

Sale is a fast worker. Get the ball, throw the ball.

I don't see why the sox can't compete for 2nd in the division. Detroit is the class, but so far sox haven't looked all the bad

nice win despite striking out 10 times as a team and rios' hot dogging error.

sale looked sharp and im gald robin took him out at 100 pitches.
the young pen looks pretty good so far and robin is using them well.

    God I hate Rios.

Sale looked very good. I was a little hesitant about moving him to the starting rotation since he was so good in the bullpen, but hopefully it will work out.
