I went to Wrigley a few years back for the first time since I was a kid. Got to the game a little early after having six Old Styles at the Cubby Bear so I had to go bad. I went to the restroom, found the first stainless pee trough I saw and relieved myself. I turned around to wash my hands and there were no sinks ... to which I thought, "wow, this place really is old school!".

I few innings later I returned to discover I had peed in the sink. :fp:

Kind of explained to lack of privacy and strange looks I was getting.

caught the end of the Kerry's 20K game last night on comcast sports.....he looked huge compared to his current self....and he was throwing some nasty shit. they kept calling it a curve, but it looked more like a cutter. a ton of movement away from righties. shame his arm blew out.

interesting to see the park too....yeah, it's teh same, but it's different.....and they need to bring back the budweiser house....and stop fuckin with shit like digital crap in right field.

I remember skipping all of my afternoon classes to watch that game. That was the nastiest curve ball I've ever seen any pitcher throw. That same curve that broke a foot and a half that struck out moises alou, however, is the same pitch that caused his first of many arm surgeries.

Woody, ryno and gracie are my favorite cubs ever

nasty nasty nasty shit...shame that arms aren't made to throw that way.

not being a cubs fan...i did always enjoy Hawk and the Dunston and his hitting meter

The shawon o meter was classic. I remember gracie talking about how bad his hand hurt after games because dunston three the ball so hard to first.

...Actually, I truly havent given a shit about them for a few years.

For someone who doesn't give a shit about the team, you sure put a lot of enery into the club.
    - You created this thread
    - You have changed the title about 1000 times
    - You post all of your complaints about the players, the park, the management, the fans, etc

Either you just like to complain or you are still really care about the team.

I heard the Pirates are starting a bandwagon. Maybe you can go cheer for them.

I will never get sick of the losing, the shitty field, or the crappy concessions. As long as there's a team on the north side, I will be a die hard fan. :corn:

A first grade teacher explains to her class that she is a Cubs fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they were Cubs fans too. Not really knowing what a Cubs fan was but wanting to be like their teacher, their hands explode into the air like fleshy fireworks.

There is, however, one exception. One girl has not gone along with the crowd. The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different. “Because I’m not a Cubs fan.”

Then, asks the teacher, what are you?

“Why I’m proud to be a St. Louis Cardinals fan,” boasts the little girl.

The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She asks the girl why she is a Cardinals fan.

“Well, My Dad and Mom are Cardinals fans, and I’m a Cardinals fan too.”

The teacher is now angry. “That’s no reason,” she says loudly. “What if your Mom was a moron, and your dad was a moron. What would you be then?”

A pause, and a smile. “Then,” says the girl, “I’d be a Cubs fan.”

How do you turn a Cubs fan into a pancake?

Two Cub fans in a Chevy Traverse plummeted over an embankment. Police officers at the scene said it was an appalling tragedy, as the vehicle was capable of seating seven.
