The Cubs will win the WS before that happens... Pujols is the greatest hitter of all time. You don't need 'roids when you can make solid contact on anything near the strike zone.
I dont know about that.....
Pujols = Steroids............
Just goin by the stats.
I understand the steroid bs, but there's really nothin other than his gaudy numbers that point to it.0 -

a) I never expected that
b) I think it's a brilliant move
If Z comes in in the 6th, or 7th...that would amazing. It's going to be interesting to see how he handles it.
I know Z doesn't really have the "stuff" he did 2-3 years ago, but who would have thought before this season we'd see Z going to the pen, and Silva getting quality starts?!?!?!
I'm excited to have Lilly coming back.
He's been the the Cub's true ace since he's been wearing Cubbie-blue!0 -

Then its a brilliant move....
If Zambrano comes in the 7th and 8th, and is a complete headcase, walking batters and throwing 20-30 pitches to get through an inning.....
Then it is the silliest fucking move I have EVER seen....
Time will tell.........Take me piece by piece.....

Well, taking the starts away was already a good move. At the rate he was going, he was on pace to lose 18 games.
Hell, I say put him in LF. I'll bet you Z can play better D than Soriano!
I think starter or pen, I'm guessing Z's days are going to be numbered in Chicago. I think he'll do the job, but at the end of the year demand a trade to a team that will let him start.
...and people thought I was crazy for suggesting the idea of trading him last year...0 -
he still stands wrote:Zambrano... He is getting more consistent over the years and is money on the road. I think he gets 15 wins and a 3 - 3.50 ERA.

I still haven't seen a game this year. Maybe that is a good thing?Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.0 -

but....
if he is suppose to be your best pitcher why would you put him in the pen where he will get 50% (at best) of the innings a starter would get.
however, it might get him more at bats. pinch hit him for the pitcher, then bring him in to pitch.
interesting move. i need to turn on sports radio to see what the talking heads are saying about it.81 is now off the air0 -

Milton Bradley back in Chicago...

Chicago landlord wants Bradley to pay up
Says former Cub owes him money for rent and damages
By Cynthia Dizikes, Tribune reporter
Former Cubs outfielder Milton Bradley is a player many fans would just as soon forget. But that's impossible for at least one Gold Coast man — the player's former condo owner.
Pantelis Kotsiopoulos sued Bradley in Cook County Circuit Court in January for about $44,000 in unpaid rent on his one-year lease of Kotsiopoulos' 24th-floor North Michigan Avenue condo. The suit alleged that Bradley had agreed to pay up to $15,000-a-month rent.
More recently, Kotsiopoulos alleged Bradley had caused $13,900 in damages to the condo before he split. The suit contended he left red paint on white silk draperies, water rings and wine stains on an ebony zebra wood credenza, food and juice stains on a silk velvet ottoman, and a five-foot coffee splattering on the master bedroom carpet.
"I viewed the apartment today," Kotsiopoulos said Wednesday in a phone interview. "I saw the damage he had left first-hand and it is real damage."
Bradley, who will be in Chicago Friday for the first time since the Cubs traded him to the Mariners, has denied the allegations. In court papers, Bradley said he gave Kotsiopoulos ample notice before his departure.
Bradley has in turn demanded at least $30,000 from Kotsiopoulos, saying that the condo owner never returned his $15,000 security deposit and failed to notify him of any property damage in a timely fashion.
Bradley, whose new team plays the White Sox in a three-game series in Chicago beginning Friday, declined comment and his lawyers could not be reached.
After being signed to a three-year, $30 million deal with the Cubs Bradley became a pariah in just one season, clashing with teammates, coaches and the news media. On top of that, he played poorly in the field, batting .257 and driving in only 40 runs. He was traded to the Mariners last December.
Kotsiopoulos said that the sluggish economy has prevented him from re-leasing the condo and that if he could talk to Bradley face-to-face he would tell him "to grow up."
"I don't take these things personally," he said. "But we expect to be treated like we treat our tenants."
Not surprisingly, Kotsiopoulos said he will be rooting for the Sox this weekend.0 -
