Age is a state of mind.
    couldn't agree more.
All is well in all of creation, therefore, let’s have a celebration!

I'm 47 and hail from the Sunshine State, as well.

I've followed the band from the beginning, and now my teenage daughter's borrowing my PJ cds to load on her iPod--where does the time go?!
To echo what some of the others have already said...I think the music keeps you young. I'm in the best shape of my life, still have the craziest sense of humor, and appreciate new life experiences much more than I ever have. Age is a state of mind.

I agree. Age is a state of mind. :)

I was having a tough time with my birthday this year. I turned 50 this March and it freaked me out. :?

However, one day I realized it's okay. I'm that age outside but I'm still me inside so... it's just a number.

can I play? I am 40 in 2 months, yikes! I go all the way back to day one. I saw them three times on the ten tour. First time I saw them, hadn't heard of them. They opened for Chili Peppers and Nirvana (concert of a lifetime!). Within a year, I was at my third show, all in Phoenix, and a fan for life.

have never missed a show that was in my town, and done some drives as well.

coming up? New Mex Eddie shows. a 6 hour venture from Denver, which will be awesome!

also, your name was Pumpkin head, correct? Is that a reference to Smashing Pumpkins? am also a BIG fan of them. Interestingly, the tour I mentioned above... Smashing Pumpkins toured the first half of that tour, and Pearl Jam took over the second half. Nirvana were even openers, and Chili's headlined. They were at the height of their powers touring on Blood Sugar Sex Magic. God, what a time for music that was. What a great time to be in college.
I called pumpkinhead by those closed to me cause I take a lousy pix my head looks like a pumpkin that's been in the sun to long...I jealous..I never saw PJ when they start...I was a fan of the bad and crazy about Eddie..but the fan were crazy...didn't wanta fight them all...now..bring it on baby

    Seriously!! :(

I see the "over 40" and "under 30" but no "30-something" club which I'm sure a LOT of us are in. I know I am, my husband is in the "over 40" club....just turned 40 in January...but he's old ;)

Sidenote to the OP I just have to comment that "Pumpkinhead" was my son's name for his very first teddybear when he was a baby. We still have it now 17 years later and everytime a see one of your posts I picture him. So in my head you're a cute little green teddy bear. :D:lol:

I'm resurrecting this thread, as last night I attended The Who concert and the vibe reminded me of a PJ show but as my friend pointed out, lots of gray and bald heads! :) LOL, I love to hang with old hippies!

At least The Who plays Phoenix more often than PJ does! :P

Plus because of this show I got to meet a young lady who goes by the moniker "Hunger Strike" on these boards and who may be in this "fans over 40' group.

Sandra, I'm aka brainofkjf on ebay and a few other sites. It was nice to meet cha!

    Cheers,
    KJ

I'll be celebrating 60 at Wrigley and will be returning to Chicago 2 weeks later for my annual trip to Lollapalooza. Was kind of hoping for PJ at Lolla but a non-festival PJ show at Wrigley works for me!
    Be kind whenever possible.

    I'm in the 30 gap.
I told my doctor during a physical today, "I just had that birthday and I really feel old."

He replied , "I have shoes older than you... ... Do you think we should give up hope about the Astros in the playoffs this year? "
