    You know, I knew they'd be bad, but I'm a little shocked at how bad they've been.

    This is a pretty different team than the last couple of years, w/new management, and they are still suffering through the same problems.

    Anyway we could get tulo? I'd give up basicaly everyone but wright and davis for him. Dude is the 2nd coming of larry jones for us. Man does this bullpen suck ass as does the whole team. I swear its fucking scary to think the islanders have a better shot of winning a championship then the mets. I can't wait till august when tix are dirt cheap on stubhub :lol::lol:

    My god I've never seen such dumbass baserunning then I do with murphy and the outfield was even worse. Way to go wright in hitting it to the deepest and weirdest part of the ballpark. Houston Street gift wraped that 9th and this franchise still fucks it up.

    i blame sandy and his nerdy buddies for this mess of a bullpen. i'm sorry but the love affair is over for me and i'm sure the mets message boards share the same feelings. when your using 2 starting pitchers in the later innings, you know you royally suck. i expected them to suck but not this badly. least tickets will be cheaper in the summer months. :lol::lol::lol:.

    What's not to love, a catcher in his prime available. You had to figure someone like that would be motivated to play well.

    As for the bullpen, that's what happens when you nickel and dime it. Also, they have to go 6-3 over the next nine otherwise, they're in deeper trouble than they are now.

    I saw him pitch in a classic Met game in 2007 against Oliver Perez, at the time, thought it was a decent matchup of young pitchers, whoops..

    6 in a row now. Like I've been saying all year, this offense has potential, and now that the BP looks a little better/more consistent, it really is all about the starting pitching.

    Hopefully tonight we sweep the Nats and then can take 2/3 from this Phillies.
