1. vs with dave a and after indifference they go straight into porch
2. YIELD with jack irons
3. no code acoustic with jack irons
4. ten with dave k. really would love to see dave k get his dues with this band.
I guess I should have added REALISTIC to the subject line!
lol
Ok fine I'll be realistic
1. YIELD
2. No code
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
Sammi: Wanna just break up?
Ten (for Release and Garden), and Vs. (for Rats, Leash, and Indifference).
It should be noted that OLP put it up to a fan vote - they didn't pick the albums, their fans did. And for the people who said they didn't like the idea because they like PJ mixing things up - half of OLP's set is still going to be mixed up, so PJ could do that too.
What about it, guys? To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Ten, either the first of second half of each show should be Ten in its entirety! Get working on it!
And I listen for the voice inside my head... nothing. I'll do this one myself.
I'm pulling my quote from another thread about my idea for a 20th Anniversary Festival, with all drummers asked back to perform the albums which they recorded with the band. Each night of the festival 3 albums would be played in their entirety, with rare tracks for encores.
Side note: Already got my tickets for both nights of OLP in Ottawa! They're playing 10 minutes from my apartment (not saying much though...we don't have a whole lot of city) in a theatre that apparently holds less than 1000.
2003: Toronto
2005: Kitchener/Hamilton/Toronto
2006: Toronto 1 & 2
2008: Hartford/EV Toronto 1 & 2
2009: Toronto/Philadelphia 3 & 4
2010: Buffalo
2011: Montreal/Toronto 1 & 2/Hamilton
2013: London/Buffalo/Vancouver/Seattle 2016: Toronto 1 & 2 2022: Hamilton/Toronto 2023: EV Seattle 1&2
1st choice: Vitalogy
2nd: Ten, No Code or Yield (can't decide right now!!!! making my brain bleed.....)
And I agree that this would be super cool.
Start off the show with an album, from start to finish, then they can still have an hour or so to put a set together of "other" songs . . . .
Here's something along the lines of what I'd love to see:
VITALOGY SET TO OPEN:
1. Last Exit
2. Spin the Black Circle
3. Not For You
4. Tremor Christ
5. Nothingman
6. Whipping
7. Pry, To blended into Corduroy
8. Bugs
9. Satan's Bed
10. Better Man
11. Aye Davanita blended into Immortality
12. Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me (maybe just play it over the loud speaker between sets)
FOLLOW-UP "MAIN" SET, WITH A BIT OF STUFF FROM EVERY OTHER ALBUM:
1. Release
2. Hail, Hail
3. Unthought Known
4. Insignificance
5. In Hiding
6. In My Tree
6. Thumbing My Way
8. Gone
9. DTE
10. RVM
11. Porch

Anything other than Riot Act. I have seen Springsteen and Roger Waters pull off this concept and it is phenominal!
Now I have to say that the concept that they were shooting for at the spectrum was amazing. What they pulled off during that 4 day set was totally incredible, and it would have been cool if they went out and tried to empty out all the studio albums in one location. It was litterally like the shuffle button being pressed for 4 straight nights.
As long as I was there, I wouldn't care what album they played
But my favorite's Yield, so that would be extra-special!
Vitalogy takes 2nd place.

many people are saying Ten and/or VS. I would choose those too, but out of those two albums, there's only 6 songs I've missed, and I've only been to 3 shows!
Release
Oceans
Dissident
WMA
Rats (which I would DIE to hear live-I'm a bassist)
Leash
I think I might have to change my selection (AGAIN!) to Yield and Binaural. Wait....Vitalogy and No Code.....wait.......ah shit..............

(Our Lady Peace) this is a band that can fill 10K-15K arenas close to capacity
Really? On a consistent basis?
That's what I was thinking. Didn't they only have like 1 song?

No Code.
Hearing habit and mankind live would be epic!
And I've never seen/heard in my tree, smile, who you are live, but hopefully this will change in 2010

well, up here in the GWN they can. Or they could a few years ago. That was the last time they toured. And no, 4AM was not their only song!
Naveed was a fantastic album. It's their debut. You owe it to yourself to check it out. Even the "snob crowd" (people who only like shit that's not on the radio) call it one of their fave albums of all time.

Would trade my cat to see Binaural in it's entirety.
No Code - I have a feeling this one will eventually happen.
