i'm guessing all these 2nd's are not for this year's draft....but if they are we now have:

    2 first round picks
    8 second round picks

    and lots o' cap space.

god bless you, sam hinkie and josh harris.

Absolutely love it. Just need to trade Turner and Hawes scrub asses and they will be golden

    Hinkie is the best

There aren't many smart philly fans out there. Finding them is the equivalent of finding a unicorn. But every once in a while you will see or hear someone who screams for rationality. Today is the day that that fan (singular) gets to celebrate. I love you Sam Hinkie. Those who ever defended Evan Turner or Doug Collins hopefully see the light.

    Game. Blouses.

don't strain yourself patting yourself on the back (like you had something to do with the Hinkie hire or something).

I don't know or recall anyone ever defending Evan Turner. the Bobby Abreau of the Sixers.

Agree Hinkie's moves have been great to this point. only way to do it.

    now we're tanking!

    http://www.tankingforwiggins.com/

watching kansas right now. quite game for wiggins thus far. quite honestly, if the sixers get the first pick, i don't know who i would prefer them to draft. i think anyone of wiggins, parker, embied and maybe randall have the potential to be super stars. embied is so tempting just because there are hardly any dominant centers in the nba anymore. we'd have a match up advantage almost every night out.....

Yes, they are tanking : BIG TIME. or are they just that BAD?!?

New Orleans lost too. A good night for the Sixers.

    I'm with you on Embied.

At this point, they're just bad. Giving up 73 points in a half to the worst scoring team in the league is awful. I guess there's a silver lining somewhere but I hate being a laughing stock.

definitely a tough choice. Wiggins has great athleticism and skill set but doesn't really dominate in college which is a concern. At times he does things athletically though that make you realize his upside is huge. Parker is all around really good in all aspects but concern would be he has reached his high level. Not a big fan of taking big guys that early because it's mostly a guards/forward league but Embied is intriguing. He's so athletic and long and has only played the game for a few years, his upside could be Olajuwon like. Not sure about Randall. he is huge with some athleticism and gets away with that in college but will that transfer into being a stud in the NBA? right now I'd lean away from Randall.

before committing I definitely want to see how these top 3 do coming down the stretch here. right now If I had to list the top 3 I'd have a hard time separating wiggins and embied with parker slightly behind at #3 even though I could see that changing by the end of the NCAA tourney.
  • The JugglerThe Juggler Posts: 48,908
i think wiggins has been more aggressive lately, though. and last night he stepped up his game down the stretch when they needed him. made a big 3 with about a minute and a half to go.

it's a guard and forward league only because there are no good big men anymore for some reason. this guy...the olajuwon comparison is obviously wishful thinking, but, man, he's got a fadeaway that you can't help but think of hakeem...

yeah, we'll know a lot more about these guys over the next 6 weeks or so. definitely a good problem to have.

you don't want wiggins ... he's horrible ... plus - word out there is he has a bad attitude; can't be coached; and cuz he's from the toronto area - likely does crack ... he's at best a second rounder ... hopefully every team sees this and he will drop ... :|

Front row fans are taking naps.

I started not to like this tanking but then I recall what the Spurs did to get Duncan and what the Penguins did to get Crosby. So now I'm ok with it.

2 picks in the top 15 in next year's draft can turn around a franchise relatively fast ...

Another good night for the Sixers as the Magic snapped a 16 game road losing streak.

The Sixers keep the losing streak(12) going.

And the HOME losing streak is now at 11 games.
