Must be a bitch to get to gigs from where you are in the country :? We struggle sometimes andf we're riht in the damn middle! We need to arrange meeting up for a Levellers gig in the future
So how is work? anymore news?
That photo is a defoJust difficult to decide which others to use :?
Yeah living here is fab, unless you want to go to big gigs:?
Levs is a defoI've already go tickets for the Weapon tour this autumn, but Mark Chadwick is one of the gigs I am pondering. I wonder if there is a midland date...
No more news, I've asked to be put forward for 3 jobs in redeployment and I've heard that there are poss 6 jobs coming through in th fire brigade headquarters. I have applied for another job at the university, but that is an absolute long shot!2009 - Manchester. 2010 - Dublin, Belfast, London, Berlin, Arras, Werchter. 2011 - PJ20 i & ii, Montreal, Toronto i & ii, Ottawa, Hamilton.
2012 - Manchester i & ii, Berlin i & ii, Stockholm. 2014 - Amsterdam i & ii, Trieste, Vienna, Berlin, Leeds, Milton Keynes.
2016 - Boston Fenway i & ii, 2018 - Amsterdam i & ii, Pinkpop, London i & ii, Padova, Krakow, Barcelona, Seattle i & ii.0 -

Leanne, go see as much as you can!
It's lovely down here in the South West, but yeah, a major hassle/expense trying to get to gigs up country. I'm lucky in that it's 2.5 hours to London/Birmingham, London can be done there and back in a night (unless it's a show at the o2) as there's a late train which gets back in at 3-4am. Late shift next day, simples. Leanne's got an extra 2-2.5 hours on top of that further west!
Arcade Fire in Manchester on 11 December is tempting, I actually like the venue (the old Central Station/Gmex) which probably puts me in a minority! It's the only Saturday gig and I would like to see them. Just ordered the new album on vinyl. The secret to a happy ending is knowing when to roll the credits0 -

MC is playing at the Glee Club in Birmingham on a Tuesday night, or Saturday 16 October at the Rescue Rooms which, IIRC, is below Rock City in Nottingham? Have you heard much of the album yet?
Good luck with the job hunting, sounds like there's lots of opportunities which is a good thing! The secret to a happy ending is knowing when to roll the credits0 -

The Suburbs album is good, I am really enjoying it. That's the date I was thinking about, but Frank Turner is the weekend before in Liverpool - and I can't plan anything until the work stuff is sorted, by which time tickets will probably have gone...ilockyer wrote:MC is playing at the Glee Club in Birmingham on a Tuesday night, or Saturday 16 October at the Rescue Rooms which, IIRC, is below Rock City in Nottingham? It's the same weekend as Frank Turner in Liverpool, same day in fact!
You should book your train tickets/flights, reserve a hotel, get a ticket for one of the gigs and go. Do it while you have got the money. If things don't work in the work front, at least you will have something to look forward to!The secret to a happy ending is knowing when to roll the credits0 -
